Hello Family, I am from Detroit and graduated from Highland Park. I have taught public school in Tennessee (all Title I schools) for nearly twenty years. This year I decided to leave the school system. With all the stress from administration, the outrageous classroom behaviors, and the unrealistic expectations put upon teachers, I tearfully walked away. Thankfully, I have been blessed to teach adult education. To be honest, my concern was not the inappropriate behaviors as much as the system that prevents teachers from actually teaching the kids they love. I will miss being there for my babies; however, I chose to put on my oxygen mask first. Thank you for loving the kids, Mr. Thomas!

What that did to me as a soccer player from Palmdale CA, going to finish my degree at a school in Johnstown New York and playing soccer for the team, added more to the fires that has been burning.
