@@julio_saito I'm a 71 year old American who fell in love with bossa when I was a kid of about 12 years old. I don't read music, but I've learned and play a lot of classic bossa nova songs using chord diagrams, and I sing them in my bad Brazilian Portuguese - but I love it! @@garyweglarz Wow Gary, what an interesting story. I started liking bossa nova at a very young age, at the age of 14. Today I am 42 years old. As a child none of my friends liked bossa nova. I'm very happy that there are people who get to learn Portuguese because of music. Thanks for the words. A big hug.

@@julio_saito I love your story too Julio, and know what you mean. My friends were all listening to Elvis and then the Beatles and The Rolling Stones, and I was walking to school making up words that "sounded like Portuguese" to me, and singing them to the melodies of the bossa songs I heard on my transistor radio. I was a kid in working class Detroit in the 1960's and the jazz FM radio stations mixed in bossa nova songs with the jazz tunes. As soon as I heard Brazilian music it touched something deep inside my soul and I've loved it ever since. Sending you a big hug back my "bossa brother!"
