If you use the favors action “ask to prepare for war” it adds 20 reasons for people to join your war for 10 favors.

prepare for war can't be done if you are already at war. Trust above 50 will work however.

When making a rival a vassal, make them end their rivalry with you in the peace deal, then you won’t get the “vassalized by rival” modifier

16:00, you could have spend 10 favors to increase your trust with aragon by 5. Each trust points above 50 increases reasons to join offensive wars by one.

With the attitude modifier you can use favors to reduce opinion and that usually works!

@@Rommel12 They have to be under a threshold of opinion, but it has worked for me like 70% of the time. Considering the problem was Ottomans/catholics, the reduce opinion would probably work this time.

@@Galaron100 I've had catholic nations with sub -100 relations with the Ottomans keep that relations modifier to joining wars more times than I care to count. I've also had nations with red coloured provinces of interests in the target nation and relations in the negatives maintain the relations modifier to joining wars. So while it SHOULD work, it clearly doesn't. At least not whenever I try to use it.

If you have an ally close to helping you out in a war you can trade favors for trust (if you're not already at a 100 trust). Each 5 trust above 50 will give an ally +5 reason to join you in a war if i recall correctly.

You can curry favors with your strong allies, then ask them to reduce opinion of a certain nation, anf then prepare for war, that gives you a shit load of reasons for them to join your offensive wars

You can reduce opinion for 10 favors to get rid of 'attitude towards enemies' modifier. It usually helps but sometimes it's a bit broken as everything else in eu4

Idk if it has been already written here, but you could have traded 10 of your favors to trust with Aragon to get the modifier +X (1, 2 or 5 idk right now) for them to join war (you had 19 favors when declaring war, get it to 20, spend 10 on trust and 10 on calling to war) 16:17 (when ally has trust over 50 it is more willing to join offensive war on your side)
