As Ragusa, complete the achievement “With a little help”, which is “As Ragusa, lead a Trade League of at least 5 nations and guarantee the Ottomans’ independence.“ You should also own the Greece region and have the biggest fleet in the world.

By Local Legends and a Few Records, Ragusan (Dalmatian Merchants from Ragusa) Merchants funded and built a Church in Goa, India during the pre-colonial times. It is rather famous even now but the origin is slightly doubtful. So, as Ragusa Own the Entirety of South India (i.e. what Vijaynagar owns at game start) and convert it to Catholic whilst defeating the Ottomans atleast once.

Ragusa is Catholic Latin/Slavic nation focused on trade. So, show to those amateurs how it is done. 1. Become Dalmatia; 2. Humiliate Venice; 3. Take the whole Balkans and Italy (no border gore, please) and; 4. Become the richest country in the world. Btw, remain catholic during the entire game.

I found the AQ -> Persia run to be so fun! With the ideas + missions + policies + and tribes estates you can really lean into the AQ and Persias cav focused NIs. The bottom half of the Persian missions are insane as they are basically free money printers. Even crazier if you stack goods produced modifiers. I would definitely love to see a guide on either AQ/QQ in the future

It looks like our expansion was really similar, but by the time of your save I pushed a lot more into west India instead of fully conquering Egypt (I only took the coastal centers of trade). I definitely did not lean into CCA as much as you lol, but I stacked a bunch of cav cost modifiers which ended up making my cav half as cheap as infantry in the end (I got the max 90%) I did lean more towards building a massive economy which is why I opened Aristocratic + Economic for cav cost reduction and the juicy goods produced modifier from Eco.

@@vulturearmy3780 yh didn't have a ultimate goal other than cav focus. Getting horde ideas was a nice surprise but I didn't expect it, that last tribal reform is highly useful. Towards the end I wanted to stack divine ideas for the -10% fire damage and -10 morale, get 100% professionalism and maximise Los off drill (the student strat) and add quality ideas if possible. Finally get naval hegemon for the extra damage from the back row. But got bored a few years after the save file lol

You've reviewed my AQ run, whenever you get to them if you ally the Ottomans and build trust, call them in using only favours and not promise of land and keep them in truce with the Mamluks then they should not even look east and you have a mega ally until you start looking to fight them.

QQ was my very first EU4 campaign, 7 or 8 years ago. I had an iron frontier to the other superpower, (ofc the Ottomans), and ended up with Persia and only half of the stepps, but it was really fun!

I think of Qara and Aq as being similar. Qara as being the stronger start but harder to expand (Shia generate a lot of AE against Sunni). Aq being the weaker start but have the easiest long term. Also finally you're the first youtuber who didnt go Qoyunlu to Seljuk.

As Ragusa, maybe do a full trade republic roleplay? Go for the Consulate of the Sea achievement but with Ragusa instead of Aragon with some twists to make it more interesting: conquer all of the coastal Mediterranean centers of trade and estuaries, but you are not allowed to conquer anything else than provinces in Ragusa trade node and provinces on the Coast of mediterranean. As a bonus, as a real naval trade republic, go for the Plutocratic/Naval/Trade/Maritime idea set as your first 4 idea groups in any order and you are not allowed to form Dalmatia or any other country.

Since Ragusa starts guaranteed by the ottomans you should return the favor. As Ragusa get the guarantor of peace achievement where you guarantee Russia, france, and the ottomans. Also if you want a funny stretch goal convert to Coptic so you religion color matches your country color

your inefficient with your wars causing you to have increased province cost, you should always declare for the highest developed province, it will make it cheaper to take, and when you'r reconquering your vassals cores you should give them the war goal normally by clicking on the map but the rest you should give it to them from the return cores screen in the peace deal, this does two things its cheaper and it lowers your vassals liberty desire and gives them an increased opinion of you for having returened their cores, this only happens if you return their cores from the return cores tab in the peace deal.

Fun fact: Qara Qoyunlu in the 1450-1460’s managed to unite most of Persia, but were conquered by Uzun Hasan’s Aq Qoyunlu about 3 decades from the start of the game. The Qara Qoyunlu were also descendants of Oghuz tribes, like the Ottomans and Aq Qoyunlu (QQ’s flag also has the symbol of the tribe they were derived from).

As Regusa, own all of the Regusa, Pest, and Constantinople trade nodes and become the world trade power! I feel Ragusa is in a spot to become the trade power of the area. Maybe as a bonus objective, make Ragusa more valuable than Venice and Geona trade nodes. Would be cool to see lots of wars conducted to take trade power and trade provinces specifically. Don't need to blob and become huge, but more of a tall trade playthrough.
