11 tries and counting… I don’t get why the Otto AI is so stupid with their navy in your games, and Skynet in mine. They flee from my starting fleet when they know they’re going to lose, they constantly repair their fleets when I try and flee to repair mine.

I mean they shouldn't be. They have much more ships than you do at the start. Try not to sink or deal too much damage in the first naval engagement. Also another youtuber with the same strategy: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2KkgYp7bNmfsK8si=CQDBKyJjOp5-30Dq The strategy totally works fine. Best of luck

ottos will never commit their entire army to ceph even with bait and free company they will always leave a small stack behind that wipes my army when i try to go unsiege any help

You have to keep baiting them. When you leave a barque at Ceph and their armies start to move towards it, you leave and immediately return it. Keep doing this until all of their and their allies’ stacks are moving into Ceph. Even if they don’t arrive the same day, as long as all of them are moving to Ceph, you’re good. But you have to keep leaving and immediately returning until this happens. Edit: Make sure to block passage when there are 4 days until they arrive. If you keep doing this, they should all eventually stack up and move to Ceph.

did they besiege everything else except cephalonia? If thats the case they should come into cephalonia because thats the last province and an army present there.

@@mapgameenthusiast yes, i immediately built a free company and kept baiting the crossing with a light ship on cephalonia after they took constantinople ottos were allied with aq and they would send all their trooos but a 15k or 7k to cephalonia instead splitting them and sending it to anatolia for whatever reason took me a couple of restarts and save scumming but in the end i got them to send all their army after a good amount of tries, ig it’s rng dependent but after that it was smooth sailing and got to 1500 with almost all the balkans, south Italy, anatolia, georgia, syria and a bit of iraq. really good strategy, worth it in the end!

If that's the case it means that you have already won the naval superiority. Trap them in Cephalonia.
