Loved the Watchers Strategy this session, jumping in to take forts to just bully the enemy into dying trying to take them back. He could've been an incredibly influential player as an ally, just transfer forts you take to that nation and the enemy has a lot more issues retaking land. Also; The video seems to cut off early when going through the nations.

Honestly, Watchers have been my favorite, just sitting back, vibing, collecting gold, deving and being such a royal pain in everyone's ass. He knows exactly what he's about and commits to it, and I respect that.

Because of this guy 1 week ago i played switzerland went for the switzerlake achievement and put forts on every single province playing tall with 200% defensivness on most provinces and to end the campaign no cb everyone in europe they sieged half of my country and they attritioned 4million troops 😂 everyone wanted to white peace me i lost 0 troops just camping hehind my walls

Doesn’t barrage just counteract any amount of fort defense?

It just gives you 2 Fort Tick progresses and you can only use it once, so no. If you think that storming the castle will solve the issue, you are also wrong. You take more casualties depending on the enemy Defensiveness modifier when storming and with that Fort Defense + their Garrison Size, you are looking at upwards of 50k casualties per Fort taken IF you even manage to take it (which is highly doubtlful, both because you are likely to run out of Infantry first and because the enemy army will just attack when you have depleted most of your infantry).

@@klodpraisor Hiring, moving, and then assaulting with a Merc stack all takes time and money. Also a merc company once depleted cannot be hired again for several years. It might be a possible strategy if the owner of the forts does nothing while you do all of that, but they will. Also, each breach either takes lucky siege ticks (have fun waiting for those) or 50 Mil points. You WILL run out of those or, worse, get outteched.

this is cope the build doesnt need any tech since you are litterally just ignoring the enemy to assualt forts (i have assualt ability 50 and -50 cost) and you then abuse fort zone of control so he cant engage you and if he does you just retreat onto a fort no where near him @@FinalderXII

Its not really 'abuse' per say but essentially if you get tariff efficiency, then max tariffs from your colony, you print money based off of your tariff efficiency. So lets say you have 50% tariff efficiency and your colony sends you 100 ducats, you get 150 ducats (50 ducats are printed from nowhere).
