its probaly inefficant as hell but in somewhat id say unoptimczd blobing wc campains where i dont plan to far ahead i sometimes lack enough dip or adm power to power thorugh to the good stuff. so i sometimes at tech 7 or 10 take Quanity ideas and just keep it for the first maby second slot and then abandon it like 10 years later after i got enough dip and adm. obviously this is not a issue you should run into in the first place.

honestly I like Aztecs now after the patch. It took me a little longer than you to unite Mexican lands, but man was it a lot easier to do with all the decisions available. Finally Aztecs gameplay is not as miserable as it was before.

four years later, I tried doing this achievement, but a lot has changed. for example, every single time I booted up 1444, Crimea allied Kazan, and in many cases an anatolian minor like Candar. your strategy relies on Crimea having no allies at the start, so it would be really nice if you could do a revision on this.

Mana is not the most valuable ressource, ducat is. Ducat is what allow you to get level 5 advisors all the time, build anything you want to increase force limit and manpower/sailors (or get even more ducat) and also go above your force limit without troubles. Mana gets a bit obsolete when you reach diplo tech 23 as from there you can expand anywhere and you want the biggest army possible from that point to wage war wherever you please. Ducats is what makes you strong at all time. So advisor cost and tech cost become more and more meaningless as your economy is what will allow you to crush any other power. And it works for any kind of playstyle, from casual to multiplayer. You really want to be as rich as possible, it makes bad rulers not a problem. Expansion is therefore a massive boost for your economy with a -10% autonomy on your possessions and double the benefit from trade companies, and isn't C tier but more like A tier. Colonists are also a good way for non colonial playthrough to get free development points in your provinces as you can appoint a colonist in province to get a chance to improve its development without costing any mana (just ducats). Add to that another merchant and diplomat with better trade power makes it a very powerful idea set for any kind of playstyle. The rest seems decent for casual. I have about 600 hours and I crush any achievement I'm trying in very hard difficulty because the game is more tedious than difficult. And with diplo-admin-influence you get most achievement easily, including the insane ones. And it's mandatory for any world conquest to be a cakewalk. Anyway, hordes just do world conquest the fatest so if you're aiming for that, just take a horde and see the world crumble.
