Would love it to have some soft version of CK3 dynasties and a better rebellion mechanics too make succession more realistic where you can also do stuff like the king of normandy moving to England or a pettender splitting the realm in 2 Having it soft coded and not as a hardcoded event would be so sexy

I am sure they could totally make more complex dynastic and succession systems for the early game before proper nations are formed. I am not confident that will be the case, but with laws being a thing we can pass, who can say yet?

I do wonder how they plan to make the Black Death of all things not horribly disheartening to deal with at the start of every game.

I imagine it will be a chance for players to test themselves and make a great leap beyond other nations by weathering the storm. I am sure it will be disheartening, but the opertunities that lie in the chaos is what I imagine the hook for players will be

​@@carlose4314EU4 has an easter egg that can cause a retrial of Joan of Arc and create a matriarchy in France, so I think that there's a high chance of an event like that in EU5
