look at Grenada it's 167k in the capital. another point why they survived so long was just how dense the region got from all the population that got ethnically cleansed in the Spanish inquisition; they could afford an army far larger than what their borders might suggest.

Do you think Vic 3 experience will be enough to get a grasp of this game when it comes out? EU4 is much more expansive it seems than Victoria but the feature bloat is way too overwhelming to learn on

These maps look pretty great, but I'm becoming increasingly concerned about what performance is going to look like in this game with the number of locations, pops, resources, dynamic markets, etc. What's the new world going to look like? Will RGOs change as the game progresses as coal, saltpeter and iron increase in demand? I also wonder what the Crown of Castile was using Mercury for in 1337, I'm sure it's just ignorance on my part though.

I cant wait for north africa. Iberia in maps looks bigger, however, its has similar size to morocco, i hope they dont be greedy when coming to represent morocco and north africa

yeah I hope so too, but they will most likely give Morocco 3 provinces and call it a day lol and they will make most eu contries way stronger than north africa which is not really historically accurate but appeasing for the eu player base, hope im wrong tho

@@MouuStaa yeah, its quite frustrating, morocco standed toes to toes (at the very least before the 15th century ) with the iberians, it even managed to collapse the Portuguese empire and make it get annexed by the spanish. The issues is, they make (in eu4) the moroccan provinces biggers, and fewer. I did some calculations, iberia has 302 provinces, and an area of 581,000 km2 Morocco during the Marinides Sultanat (1337 AD ) Had an area of 435,000 km2. Morocco should have 226. I am pretty, sure it may be less since the desert takes a decent part (in the Tafilalet area and south of cape Juby) (tarfaya)) And that area was just morocco and didnt include western algeria, which was just annexed by the marinides in 1337

@@z0rO999 im pretty sure the area is bigger if you include the sahara territories but the borders are disputed and hard to define, but it could be 700000km2 at least if not more, but since we're talking about morocco without the southern parts than there is not much desert but rather hills and mountains, so yeah the number of provinces should be close to 226

@@MouuStaa when i mentioned the moroccan area, i ve only calculated the area that was controlled by the marinid sulatanat in 1337. I didnt use the modern day borders.

maps are looking very clean, to be honest. Let's hope to see what specs will be in order to run it well, because the ammount of populations, cultures, locations and how they all interact doesn't really sound easily optimizable to me. What do you think?

Its hard to see. But Granada has a city of 176k pops. The biggest population center on Iberia.

If a province already produces iron, what is the point of building a mine? Pls explain I never played EU And dont all locatnions produce wood, wheat, livestock in reality? This system makes zero sense to me.
