Hey, I'm just trying to find a way for my stream deck to toggle my reverb on and off and I cannot find it anywhere, it is also missing in the hot key list. Does your list contain this? I cannot believe this is not an active question online with the amount of streaming singers, lol. Thanks for your video!

Hi BassBoomBox, if it’s reverb you’d like, bus-out your reverb to its own effects bus, then use your Streamdeck to trigger the track. I think there’ll be a trigger for automating input levels. I think my Streamdeck profile does have this - but in the new version which is pinned in the comments. One profile has key commands and the other changes the articulations. I hope that this helps. Hi Euan, thanks for your enormous amount of work. I followed your instructions step by step, but when I want to add your Stream Deck profile, nothing happened. This is for both the basic and core version of the BBC Spitfire template. Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Hi Jan, How strange. Did you also add-in the Logic Keyboard Shortcuts? In your stream deck software, check that the MIDI has been enabled too and in Logic, check that you have allowed permissions for the input device. Hi Federic, have no fear. I’ve just finished a newer version that doesn’t rely on the apps in this video. I’m planning to upload this during this week. It’s already filmed. It just needs to be edited. I use MIDI input data, which makes things faster to change the articulation. V2.0 coming in days.

Hi yes it can, if you use the new MIDI Add-on installed through the Streamdeck software itself. Start with C-1 for the first articulation and work your way up by notes). If DP10 is able to receive MIDI NOTE messages through Streamdeck, there’s no problem. You have to tell your DAW that the Streamdeck of the MIDI input device. Is Trillian the instant messaging software?

why not just do all of this with MIDI note messages? all of the BBC SO instruments respond to midi notes or CC32 using the UACC system. the app idea is very clever BUT I just don't see the point! Can you explain why this is required as I have a complete setup on my Stream Deck using midi notes

Awesome, so share it. Can you change articulations and did it require you having to make changes to the BBCSO sound library out of the box? I couldn’t figure out how you could use MIDI Note messages to change these. Obviously it’s a workflow preference, but to use complex commands with LPX AND be able to mode switch from Discover, Core and Pro AND be able to change articulations seemed like a good challenge for me to achieve. However, if you’ve got a method of articulation switching, please share it here 😁

Euan Smith Music hi. I’ll do a video. Keyswitching via midi is the obvious was since this is what spitfire intended and allows you to record it with your performance. I’m not sure why you’d need to midd switch using a remote since it’s simple in the plugin. Additionally why would you want to mode switch when you have Pro?!?

I’m a teacher and to have the convenience of modeswitching for projects is useful to get multiple actions done quickly to hear variants of music. In terms of key switching, I’d love a full size keyboard but my matchbox studio won’t allow for it, so, hence the Streamdeck. If you can create keypress triggers using MIDI control messages using a Streamdeck, please share how you do it and I’ll update mine.

Euan Smith Music sure, just install the MIDI app within the stream deck interface and set up the midi notes, starting at C-1 for the first articulation (MIDI note 0) and then work up. Euan Smith Music P.S. you don’t need a full size keyboard to do key switching. C-1 is beyond the bottom of an 88note controller. Just use the stream deck :-)

Hi Robert. This should just be a straightforward process of opening up the Streamdeck software and going to the cog to import the profile. The icons will all import too. I’ve just included these should you want to customise any key presses. I’ve also uploaded a more recent version of the profile that is more efficient changing between the articulations. Oh, I see. Well this’ll work well with any Spitfire library in Studio one. The key presses should carry over as they’re just MIDI control messages. I don’t have a broader key command one for Studio One though.

Let me check and sort this out. After some reading and research, I've got a better method which is faster and doesn't require as many of the apps to be installed. It also allows you to change articulation whilst recording.
