My man I been waiting for this video to be uploaded. Lmao. Thank you so much for the shout out. It was amazing to finally meet you. And I hope we never have to deal with having to insure our Euc’s because that means we will have to come out of pocket on a monthly bases.

Have to agree that EUC riders have more situation awareness than most other vehicles. Over time of learning, and falling, you are more concerned with your personal space. Any close calls I come across are usually with people invading my space too close while I am trying to maintain that cushion. When I am riding slow enough I have cyclist getting way to close to talk to me and I have to inform them of wiggle room. When I see pedestrians on trails already being oblivious, I just go off road around them. I had a Pidzoom I used to use for them but they seem to get annoyed if I use it or not. Talked to one pedestrian who said I need a bell, I honked my Pidzoom and told them when I use it, I get annoyed peds so I tell them do I honk or do I carefully pass, make up your damn minds. Those people I see give even cyclist annoyed looks when they shout "On your left" or not so I put them in the category of people who believe where they are belongs to them entitlement syndrome. Cyclist are no where near as bad as pedestrians though. They are like squirrels and dogs, very unpredictable even when you make eye contact. Wanted to add, the Free Brake light is great but if you live in hot climates like here is California, you may have to use some epoxy for the mount not to come off on you. I tried the heat gun treatment and even have that high end 3M double sided tape and it still got loose and fell off in the hot summers. A little (not alot) of epoxy has helped with my mounts a lot.

Anyone can still legally ride a horse on most roads in the US- no license, no insurance nor registration necessary. EUC, scooter, One-wheel, e-bikes, mopeds, horses, etc… oh my!
@tonygomez1855 ай бұрын
Specifying the safety to pedestrians do to the training involved with learning and mastering the techniques to riding an EUC is a great idea. Mentioning regulations will only call unwanted attention and will get each state a focus on restricting and profiting in some way from EUC riders. Need to always focus on the positive aspects of EUCs. Be safe!

off topic question: how come people make a big deal if someone doesnt pick up their dog poop but a horse pooping in the middle of the road and their owners dont pick it up is ok?
@haroldsmith453025 ай бұрын
Horse-poop, cow-poop, etc. on public roadways is not OK. When sun-dried, the poop dust blows around, gets inhaled, and causes illnesses. It is illegal in some jurisdictions.

No one is riding horses at 50+mph on bike trails and paths, beaches, disobeying traffic laws/signs and being a nuisance to the public like they do with PEVs. So of course their is no regulations for horses
@edm97605 ай бұрын
Horses are usually not allowed on bike/walking paths for a good reason. It's all about speed, a EUC only going 20 mph would not be a problem but 40-50mph, now that becomes dangerous.

Shout out to that girl at 53:20 💕😜. In all seriousness ‘If’ any type of riding regulation were to happen I don't believe it would be a nationwide thing. It won’t happen in California. Cali has a strong commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. Therefore they encourage the use of PEV’s to fit into this ethos. In addition, Cali is home to a tech-savvy population that embraces innovative solutions so e-scooters, e-bikes, and euc’s align with the state's culture of embracing new tech.

I doubt that will keep California from adding some regulation

Lie. San Diego already ban PEVs on Beaches and recently Hermosa Beach and surrounding cities are cracking down on E-bikes/Motorbikes. People are being an Nuisance to the public by speeding and other BS on bike paths/lanes and so forth. California will definitely implement some laws
@RocABye5 ай бұрын
@@truthiscensored oh, come on now really?? local restrictions don’t change the fact that California as a whole is all about pushing forward with sustainable tech. The state’s got a mission to cut down carbon emissions and stay ahead in the tech game. Those local rules are just small-time stuff dealing with people acting out of line in specific areas. It’s not about the state turning its back on PEVs. Cali is still on the path to tying in e-scooters, e-bikes, and eucs into the urban landscape because they fit the bigger picture of sustainability. So yeah, there’ll be some laws to keep things in check, just as there always have but don’t confuse that with Cali turning its back on its commitment to new tech and green solutions. Focus on the bigger vision.

I'm from Germany and the lack of regulation is the reason we can't legally ride them. I'd love to have regulations for them so I could legally ride mine. Enforced ensurance is needed to protect other people and their property, not you. It's good, otherwise someone could ride those into you and you won't get compensation for the damage if they are broke.

The challenge is the range of speed. How to identify what's a low speed sidewalk EUC versus road ready EUC. Motorcycle have CC and get profiled by appearance. A mini-bike, low cc motorcycle like a Honda grom is less likely to suspected of speeding. They don't get associated with dangerous super bikes behavior. Cars get profiled on looking like sports cars. How cops to identify which EUC are more likely the speeding ones that show up on videos as it gets popular. Which ones are responsible for accidents, without stopping every rider to check ID and license
@DanA-ls8og5 ай бұрын
If they make you register and insure your EUC you will have to follow ALL traffic laws. You'll have to stand in a traffic light like an idiot, stop at a stop sign, etc, which not only defeats the whole purpose of commuting with an EUC but is totally unsafe in my opinion. Insurance will not cost you $4 because the big cost of insurance is always liability insurance, which is always mandatory. That's covering the costs of others in any accident. The good news is that EUC is such a niche thing that it is under NO threat by itself, but only as part of some comprehensive reform to regulate E-bikes and E-scooters. I don't see that happening anytime soon. Citi Bike will be out of business overnight!

That was a load of gibberish nonsense. Nothing wrong with stopping at a stoplight and waiting for it to turn green. 😂

Your comment, “… chase down other EUC’s.” Movie filmed on NYC streets, bad guy steals a kid’s EUC, good guy flashes ID and borrows other kid’s EUC, unicycles racing across town through many obstacles, catching the bad guy!

Off topic, but how does that Leatt chest protector breathe? Does it get overwhelmingly hot in the heat or is it manageable? Great content bro, from Chicago. Nice to see guys who aren't ripping around through traffic going 40-50mph pissing people off all the time.

I had the police chase me down the other day (i live in the Uk) luckily i managed to stay ahead of them until i reached a bike path. They would of 100% seized my wheel if id of stopped. They posted on their Facebook page a child’s electric motorcycle they seized the same day and put P.S at the end of the post saying i was speeding through the streets and im on their ’radar’
@kunof20743 ай бұрын
I would rather them make a speed limit, divide them into classes, ones that go under x mph dont need registration and ins and the ones that go over do, just like 49 cc scooters and motercycles
@truthiscensored5 ай бұрын
Any type of regulation would be in the class of E-Bike or Moped. They may simply create another class for PEVs EUCs don't have the power of a motorcycle and even Motor GAS Scooters can drive with a Class C License

Regulation is bad because government is bad in general. We need to dismantle regulations. Just because every other form of travel has cucked to govt regulation doesn't make it right. You know WHY EUC riders are in so little serious accidents? Because we know we don't really have a safety net, and we have no authority to appeal to so we must protect ourselves. Regulation leads to appeals to authority, and I don't believe in authority.

The people who constantly speeding will be responsible for Gov't making regulations on PEVs. And KZbinrs are the main influence. All the videos on PEVs going super fast, some even riding on the freeways...people see that on KZbin and want to do the same...so they buy one and do the same Also LE and Lawmakers watch Social Media (including KZbin)...so PEVs are definitely on their radar. They just have not figured out what they want to do
