Euclid City Council meeting erupts in protests, ends peacefully

Dozens of people disrupted a Euclid City Council meeting Monday evening in protest of two recent incidents involving police. WKYC's Carly Flynn Morgan was there for the loud, and sometimes tense, discussions.

Charles Putman it's the police state we live in. It's everywhere. A good number of police officers are former military, it explains why they are so comfortable in that gear. The issue is, these police are not hired from the community they are suppose to serve. They are hired from out of town, even out of state, so they have zero skin in the game. No families to be accountable to, as they didn't grow up there. Why do you think they act the way they do? It's not their former coach, or neighbor they are assaulting, it's a stranger in a strange land to them. An occupying force, the tactical gear is just the next step in the process.

And yet a little over 2 months later they pulled this man over claiming they had a warrant for him knowing full well that he has an open carry permit and when the officer touched him he brushed the hand off because you were still sitting in this car and they basically got him out of the car and slammed him face down on the ground which in the video I watched show bruises. That was didn't November 7th of 2017. Sounds like they are retaliating trying to intimidate him to go away

They want the 2nd amendment, and open carry rights, but, did ghe public, seriously think it meant them? The most dangerous thing to them is a camera, add a mask, discounting were all wearing one if we're sane, then add a gun, legal, then be seen with it or get pulled over for any number of perceived violations of some sort. Then. Be black. 😱 the HORROR. You've got no chance. America is destroying itself from within. Even if we shouldn't HAVE to do something, we have corrupt police across the board, so submitting to their illegal, lawful, lol, orders, isn't enough either. They see compliance as a sign of weakness... ugh.. and they start to push it further an further... we know what's gonna happen if we argue, so we really can't win. Compliance gets some off, and they have fun, standing up for rights, is a no no. Calling themselves 'veterans', when they've sat behind a desk getting fat, and scamming taxpayer funds to pay for his wages... and a little extra. They've bullied for the 30 years, so they've been 30 yrs of being a corrupt and clueless cop, STILL, and they have a police force full of ex armed forces and call of duty trained cops, and they enjoy beating people. Maybe while THEY were serving abroad, maybe, they were committing atrocious crimes while there, considering the treatment of Americans, and on camera.... they're damaged and shouldn't be dealing with stuff involving making arrests or dealing with public. Plenty of admin jobs. Not 100k wages.... Disgusting. We the people needs to start happening, 4 years later and it's WORSE. And we're emulating every bit if crazy over here, we're missing the guns fortunately Still having people say our knife crime, mainly around London, in England, I'm from Wales, there's also 2 other nations under the British rule... Yeah, right. But AR-15 owners are comparing knife crime to gun deaths.... And cars... 🙄😤 STILL We need to heal minds AND bodies. And we need to do it as a united global movement. And no one can agree to anything. Until we drop that attitude, and just get the evil people out of office, then moan about not liking the new leader. Ugh. Long rant. And could be way longer. I'm a victim in a smallish city in Wales, by the coast. Our central station is corrupt from the head down.. If it's here..... it's everywhere. Which we already know. But others are finding it hard to criticise the police, but a few turned 180 when it happened to THEM. Every minority should stay at home for a week. The cops will o ly have white people out there. You think they'll stop? They feed on abuse. They'll absolutely do the same, maybe then they'll see we're anti brutality, not anti police.

Ask the protestors if they are registered to vote and DO THEY VOTE? People do not become City Council members or Mayor by "magic". They are voted in. Citizens hold public servants responsible in the most powerful way by voting. If not, well, as one eulogist said at Aretha Franklin's funeral, if you aren't registered and voting you are not showing this great lady any RESPECT.
