I love this type of content. I dont care how well u did or didn't do. Decision making, strategy, and mindset are the hardest elements of fishing in my opinion. Seeing how you think about things is gold. Not everyone is gonna grasp how to benefit from your content, but it has benefited me greatly

Hilarious how people say they would have done this and that. Easy to say after you watch. Nobody cares shut up and learn. Great job Todd thanks for doing these vids.

Love this vid can’t wait for the second or day two . I love the fact you fish what you think based on practice , and just history with the popping perch that will get the better fish to bite knowing it’s impossible to catch every one that bites it gives you a chance to win or place high in the event

Funny how as you give your explanation about what you are doing, I find myself paying more attention to how you are working your bait. The way you work your rod with the popping perch just opened my eyes that I have been working it all wrong. Now I will have to go out and practice working it. Looking forward to day 2 recap.

Hey brother. Your videos are awesome and your oversight in the bass workd is truly wholesome. Would love to be able to spend a day on the water with a great man and angler. Thank you for your videos truly awesome😊

I feel your pain, it’s like watching my state qualifier a couple years ago. 5lber chokes the frog an hour in and I proceed to watch 6 blow ups without getting another frog fish in the boat. Live by the frog die by the frog!

The fish were doin the same thing at Gibson Thursday morning, blowing up on a poppin perch and had a couple do it like half way to the boat or right when I was starting to reel in to make another cast. I got really frustrated and went and did something else that actually worked for a change lol
@leeyarbrough96367 ай бұрын
Seems to me that the cloud cover had your fish out from the bushes an out prowling about. That being said you had to stick to you guns cause of your good practice. Good luck rest of season.

You said you know it's not a color thing. My thought is that it could be a size thing. Like a Poppin Perch Jr or a Poppin Perch Magnum may have caught them

Theres a lake in West Texas that is dirty like that. I use a bright solid chartreuse spinnerbait with a small color a blade. That thing always gets bit. Just FYI. May work there.

Just an old Fork guy, and would never second guess you, but with bite coming away from cover, wouldn't a spook or yellow Magic possibly increase hook up? Just .02 worth. Thank you for everything you share here. We learn....

I fish truman lake missouri, and it gets tough as hell when the water drops. For years I still can't figure them out when it happens. For me it turns into junk fishing 101. Flipping seems to be the best way for me to get bit.

What's kind of interesting to me about the frog bites is I normally fish the cover and maybe a couple few feet past it then burn it back in to make my next cast. That's water that I would more then likely fish a walking bait or popper and never even consider a frog. Was their stumps or bushes underwater or was it open water?? Love the videos man you show the real side of fishing!!!

Looked like a very frustrating day! Idk if you tried to throw a pop-r but I’ve seen them this time of year in Oklahoma can’t get a bite on a frog and they’ll eat a pop-r

Fished a tournament Sunday there. I had 11 pounds all came off the old water line. On a rage bug BUT the winner was almost 20 pounds and a dang 9.1 was caught. Question where the heck do you think they came from and on what?? 199 boats in the tournament

More of this Todd please. I'm usually one that keeps my finger on the advance 5 sec button to get through the fluff but I have to say I couldn't press it. Your insight through out your day was valuable to me. I don't tournament fish but I absolutely believe what's in your head will make me a better decision maker on the water. Cheers.

I think white bass are the younger annoying cousins in the eyes of black bass. The white bass don’t run them off they just annoy them so much the black bass don’t want to be there 😂
