Poles reels lures boat. Etc. all come second to having a license. Kind of gives a black eye to fishing. Gentlemen bass tourneys are dying a slow death. But make no doubt. Death is coming. Need new format. That’s exciting to watch. One man in a boat with tv screens is beyond boring. Take a page from saltwater tourneys.

Once “easy” is here it will never go away. Especially since the younger generation knows nothing but video games. I predict there will be a split. There will be tournaments that do away with ffs and ones that don’t. There are still a lot of fishermen that like the challenge of actually going fishing. There are some that like shortcuts. Only time will tell which one holds out or if they both do.

Albert Collins and Nobie Jo back in the 90s won like 3 boats in one fall. Toledo back then had several that would win numerous tournaments in a row. Metcalf, the Sorters, Dicky, big Stan Burgay. Livescope has evened up the field a little. People are.now targeting different types of fish. Harder to dominate on the pelagic bait chasers.

I was on the trip with Ish, and had a great trip with him and the group. He was the only one going up on the bow and hooking up on the Wahoo and then no one else would get them. He also doesn't share.....LOL Ish is a great angler almost as good as his wife.... She killed it. 10 days on the Vagabond with his was a blast.

I do think bass boat sales will start to tank as this FFS becomes the majority way people fish.

I picked up one in November when I was fishing every day. I tend to back lash especially with FC. Fewer backlashes than my Tatulas. I bought another one during the Lews sale. Color ugh? No backlashes priceless!

The point Ish made about being able to scan a whole pocket instantaneously is scary as hell. I have not problem with FFS as it but I feel like it’s on the brink of getting out of control.

The amount of drama queens in social media hunting for clicks is out of control. Some anglers are just as guilty of causing drama. Personally I wish it would go away so we could just enjoy the fishing.

At the beginning of the video when you were going through all of the Settings, I noticed your bottom line was 20+ feet however your graph was only showing 7.45 think just wondered why there is a difference in the screen napped and the bottom line adapter on your screen

To say that most people don’t use FFS to keep fish is just inaccurate. And btw, the more tournaments you can kill, I’m all for it. I used to go to Toledo Bend to get away from people and enjoy un pressured “fishing”. Now you can’t go there at any point in the week without having to deal with an overcrowded lake. Tournament fishing has ruined fishing. Period.

I spent 30 years on San Diego sport boats. 20 of those long-range. I missed a few trips I heard Ish was on and I always regretted it but at the same time I would have chewed his ear off about BASS. I've been able to experience the best Wahoo fishing in the world at destinations that are no longer open to America. Ish is right...wahoo tacos are amazing. You two fellas, Hackney, Live see fish how I do. I just moved to Louisiana from San Diego and I love the south but San Diego long range is the best saltwater fishing in the world

100% with the age factor. I had my window during the late 90's thru 2010. Won several big events and made a decent income most years. Then I noticed my performance going down over each year. I also feel I fish better, but my results do not tell the same story. I have live scope, but have incorporated into my fishing as more of another advanced sonar. I will always tournament fish because I love the competition, but I also use reality and enjoy the good days, then accept the bad days. Never going to change my way of fishing (old school) because I enjoy my way, but not going to hate on innovation either. Its a choice and as an American that is one of our rights👍

I bought grandson starter Lews reel for Christmas. I admit I was worried about him losing interest before learning how to cast. I looked at this reel initially but quickly dismissed as too expensive for kid. But you made a point about "Keeps on giving". I agree with you 100% having dealt with kid backlashes while trying to actually catch fish. So, I just ordered one and am taking starter reel back.

I bought two of them, is it a good reel … yes, will it backlash ? Damn straight it will backlash, not as advertised! One of the reels is a lot quieter and smoother than the other which happens with reels, they both operate about the same. It’s a good reel but my curados and tatula’s are good reels too 👍
