About 40 years ago i saw a Boudin at the Art Museum in Chicago. It was small, but so beautiful it brought me to tears. I looked over and saw an old woman standing beside me, with tears running down her face too. This video is lovely, but it can't begin to show these paintings real beauty.

Very underrated artist who took a young Claude Monet under his wing and showed him the light and exposure to plein air landscape painting. His love was the beach, harbour scenes, boats, ships. In my opinion no one did this better than Eugene.

Monet said about his first time watching Boudin do his outdoor painting. "Suddenly, it was as if a veil has been lifted in front of my eyes and I became certain what I want to paint!" So we have Boudin to thank for inspiring Monet and leading him to the glorious path of Impressionism!!

Warum werden alle diese Präsentationen mit MUSIK zerstopft ? Ist das indispensabel ? Verdient man mit Musik mehr als ohne ? Musik trübt die Warnehmung von Bilder Farben,Formen, Kontrasten , kürzt das Gedächtniss ! Besser als Stopfmusik wären Angaben wie Titel des Werkes, Jahr der Produktion.. Ort des Bildes....
