DoodleBob manipulating a heartbroken Plankton into becoming a Heartless was such a wild deviation from what we had expected to be a Battle For Bikini Bottom retread up to that point. Hearing the regret and sadness in Eugene's voice as he realized he was never there for his friend broke me just as it broke Plankton. What a fantastic world, and the way they got the Flying Dutchman summon to factor into the plot was the cherry on top.

A Nickelodeon and Dragon Quest crossover starring an anime-like protagonist tagging along with Patrick and Squidward to traverse different Nickelodeon series seems like a baffling idea, but turned out to be one of the most ingenious ideas in gaming! I always adored the ghost-heartless hybrids in the Amity Square/Ghost Zone, Aang bending certain magic techniques used (such as fire) was clever, and fighting a strengthened Shirley from Jimmy Timmy: Power Hour 3 in Retrodimmsdaleville felt so satisfying after the other Jimmy Timmy Power Hour related content in prior games. Bikini Bottom always felt like such an expansive and endless world, even in the first Kingdom Hearts game, also loved that the Planet Sheen world was a rescue mission to Earth taking place some time after the show's final episode, and the callbacks to the Power Hours and Jimmy Neutron were nice nods, the world was better than the show itself ngl lol. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but stopping Snaptrap and becoming an agent for T.U.F.F. was such a cool moment for me. And oh boy, seeing all the reveals for Kingdom Hearts III is unforgettable. I'll never forget how ecstatic people were for the Rugrats world in the game after countless requests for one. And the divide in opinion people had for the Royal Woods reveal was an interesting one to see unfold. Can't forget about the keyblades! I always loved the design of the Magic Wand keyblade that Cosmo and Wanda granted, hearing sound effects from FOP play when magic spells were used was a nice touch. And Jimmy Neutron actually building a keyblade in his lab for the player after completing Retroville was a brilliant way of explaining how it was obtained. Nacho Libre as a world in Kingdom Hearts II was kinda silly, but all those libre heartless crashing the wrestling ring during the world's final act was really cool. Still crazy that Otis was added as a summon in Kingdom Hearts II to promote Barnyard before release, but it worked. Megan Parker was another strange summon, but brutally torturing the heartless was fun, not gonna lie. Now, if only Nick could throw in a Tak and the Power of Juju world into a future game... I know it was considered at one point, but c'mon, it's long overdue and would fit the series' style perfectly.
