I'm still wondering if I am the only one who interpreted the D-Beats of Lars (mostly in Blackened) having a sort of delayed triplet on the middle bass beat... I always played it like that

Great videos! , Could yo do a video explaining the whipping motion? Its a little hard to keep the 8 hi hat notes in the skank beat, Greets from Bogotá Colombia, I saw you play with Belphegor!

Saludos amigo! I think there should be a lot of videos on the whipping motion on youtube. I personally haven't made one yet :) But who knows what will I do in the future.

Nice video, althrough you failed to mention Paul Mazurkiewicz's inverted skank beat, which sounds similar to the "cripplet skank beat", but he plays triplets in the HH or ride, and it seems that it is cripplet or uncoordinated, but it can perfectly be written on a score, at least I I could do it

My variations usually include a d-beat mixed with a simple d-beat, mix the d-beat with the metal pattern and then mix that with the 16th note double bass beat. Does it sound confusing? It probably does.

Then again, sometimes if I'm just dicking around, I just play the 16th note double bass pattern skank beat at 150-160 bpm.
