Solo Trip to Echigo Yuzawa in Japan! ❄️

Hello everybunny!
I did a spontaneous one-night trip to Echigo Yuzawa in Niigata and it’s one of the most magical places I’ve ever been to! I stayed at Taki no Yu, an onsen nearby to the station and all I did was eat and have adventures! Let me know what you think!

Solo trips are nice, i went on a solo trip for 2 weeks in Japan before language school started and it was a nice reflection time. You look so happy here, its probably nice to see snow like a winter wonderland

omg the train announcement is so jarring LMAO I too dream about eating a fish on a stick. I like how the snow makes everything so quiet outside! I'm also someone that would love to live somewhere with lots of snow because I love layering and dressing cute and comfy!! Also watching this made me so hungryyyyy

I turned the sound on the train clip all the way down but it’s still so loud hahah Right! I think once you learn about how to stay safe in the winter, stocking up on supplies and which companies to call to salt the road etc it would be perfect! I just worry about things like pipes freezing and busting but I’m sure the houses are built different :o

Oh my goodness you are the most adorable thing ever! Also, I am going on a solo trip to Japan in a week, and visiting Yuzawa is the part I am most excited about. Your video resonated so much, and made me feel more confident, even though I only speak a teeny bit of Japanese.

Most of the tourists I saw there didn’t speak any Japanese so you’ll be fine! You’re going to love it and this season is perfect for snow 💕

Wow it’s like a winter wonderland, the tunnel sounds so magical. I’m not really a skiing person either so just experiencing the beautiful scenery and having a warm drink and a nice meal is ideal to me. There’s just something about being all warm and snuggly and watching when it’s snowy, it’s so peaceful and relaxing. I totally understand why you fell asleep early that would be me too 😂 I like doing stuff but I sometimes feel like if I do too much on a trip I haven’t really rested and had that relaxation recharge time.

When you travel alone how do you take photos of yourself, do you bring a tripod ?

Tripod! But also the snow was a good tripod. The staff at the onsen took pictures of me and also there was a photographer on the mountain hahah

It’s only an hour or so on the Shinkansen so I think it can be done, but the best part is the ryokan and onsen so maybe 1 night is better
