♨️Currently, guests with tattoos are generally not allowed. However, opinions are mixed, and the ryokan is considering relaxing the rules in the future, possibly allowing tattoos that can be covered with stickers. ♨️Traditional mixed-gender onsen ryokans still exist, though they are rare. Adachiya Ryokan also has mixed-gender bath🔻 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnKtZGB3Zaqrpac By the way, both have women-only hours, but no men-only hours🙃 🔻It’s Time to Travel Membership kzbin.info/door/QDKpfTS6haXS6BAHebR8Hwjoin

What are the dressing rules in the mixed-gender Onsen? Bathsuit? Towel? Naked?
@joshuatan9424 ай бұрын
It’s full on nude. There are gender segregated changing rooms, but has a small window on the door that perverts can peek into. Yes, I saw a guy walking around in circles and doing weird stretches. Fortunately there’s about an hour of female only bathing time, but it’s very close to dinner time so it could be a pain to schedule the bath.

I've always been on the fence about going to an onsen on my future visit to Japan due to me being transgender. I'd like the experience but I have no idea on how to go about it. It's not even the social aspect, I can explain it pretty easily, I just don't know what the rules would be. I assume it's whatever gender is on your ID, but I could be wrong.
@joshuatan9424 ай бұрын
@@jayemover_16 well they wouldn't be checking your ID that is for sure. It is not immigration.
@robynhayward4 ай бұрын
@@jayemover_16another channel I watch briefly touched on this topic and he suggested that for now, if you are transgender, it's probably best to visit somewhere with a private bath to just avoid the 'issue' all together

I was in Japan when I was young, my parents worked in Japan for 2 years, I loved it, and I worked there myself in 2013. So every time I see these films I am there again in spirit , and I remember the sounds, and most importantly the scent and smells of Japan which are unique. Fantastic country.

I am awestruck by Japanese traditions. Many dishes for one meal, but small portions and care taken to present each one perfectly. Your countryside with hidden streams and waterfalls is mesmerizing. I have put this video in my favorites to relax me for bed. Thank you. Ohio, USA.

This was so beautiful to watch. I'm unlikely to be able to visit here myself, yet through your video I felt like I was transported to the location and got to experience it anyway. Thank you.

This looks like a really beautiful place, thank you very much for sharing it with us ! So far, I have stayed only in one onsen village (Kurokawa Onsen in Kyushu, last year, it was absolutely great). Next March, we will travel to Tohoku and plan to stay in Ginzan Onsen, I really look forward to it. We love staying in Ryokans, for the food, the onsen, the japanese rooms, and the general atmosphere. Some of my favorites so far are in Yakushima, Miyajima, Beppu and Kawaguchiko.

hi it's-time-to-travel, i really like your videos and the hotels that you visit, however every time you go to an onsen i wonder if people with tattoos are allowed in or not... sometimes i search on google for the name of the facility, but some websites are only in japanese and it is not easy to find the answer... if possible, could you ask the facility this question and add the answer in your video or video description? i think many international people with tattoos like me would be really grateful

100% !!!! ❤ I also have tattoos and always wonder about this 😅😊

I bet the places that have private baths will let you in those ones, tattoos are just likely to worry other guests so if you're not out in public it should be alright.
@its_time_to_travel4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words and for watching our videos!☺️ We asked the ryokan featured in this video about their tattoo policy. Currently, they generally do not allow guests with tattoos. However, there are various opinions on both sides, and the ryokan is considering relaxing the rules in the future, possibly allowing tattoos that can be covered with tattoo stickers. We will make sure to check the tattoo policies of facilities in the future and include that information in our videos or descriptions. Thank you for the suggestion!

I’m not Asian and my tattoos are clearly very western styled, they’re also definitely not covetable with stickers 🤣🤣 I’m not a mob operative ffs, I’m a tourist.
Hoshi onsen was where I ended my 2 week car rental visiting Tohoku. Please be careful, there was a hentai in the mixed bath. He walked around the bath and veered very close to the female changing room. Also was doing thrust exercises and stretches.
