Although to be fair a lot of the cast have already studied or done work in the creative arts, the opportunities I've had to model and be in a reality show came about the same way, my very first job was working for a tv network and I also volunteer at the top costuming place here in Auckland. Plus both me and my dad have a natural talent for putting on different voices and reciting, which are important skills for a, being able to talk in a different accent, and B memorizing lines.

I feel like it's a nod to the whole crew for actually knowing how to do their job. It's easy to cast established actors and it's another thing to find those who have a natural talent but yet some experience. We should focus on that in a lot of fields, not just music and film.

I'm glad Sweeney took a stance. Unnecessary scenes are unnecessary. End of. Angus and hunter had to have the look and less about the acting. If they didn't get the look and moves right the character wouldn't work. I was really impressed by Jacob. He was a teen heartthrob and now a teen psychopath.

I feel like if an actor is uncomfortable with being naked the team should immediately just change it. It’s not gonna make a huge difference to the show and it seems morally wrong to have them naked on camera when they aren’t 100% with it

Every time an actor is cast and signs the contract it's a negotiation, just like any job offer. If nudity is absolutely required of a specific role, the actor knows that from the beginning and it's up to them to decide to take that role or not. It would be morally wrong if the actor wasn't informed of the nudity prior to accepting the offer, but that is rarely the case nowadays. No one is forcing their hand. It's rare when a writer changes a script just for an actor, even more rare if the actor isn't a big name. That changes not only the writing but the marketing of the show, the rating, the target demographic etc. any small change is not truly a small change.

Well, we already lived it. Specifically the jules trauma. Im not trans, but i have body dismorphia. I was in a mental hospital from 13-18 more often than i was home for eating disorders, self harm. I suffer from bpd, and watching rues meltdowns are like a mirror. I also have quite an addictive personality, my mom was a drug addict. I never tried it because of how fucked up it made her, but even drinking turns me into a monster. Gave birth last year, St. Patricks day. With a family full of alcoholics, im terrified she will get to use the excuse of her birthday being a drinking holiday to give in to the cravings I know she will one day have.

I think the show feels so much like an intimate look into the characters lives because the actors are so similar (personality wise) to who they are playing and since they’re so talented they know exactly how their characters would feel in these scenarios

I’m not trying to be mean, but the movie industry really needs to be like that more, I get it’s Sam Levinsons work, but I think the majority of the success are these new authentic actors like Hunter or Angus. I’m tired of seeing all the same actors all over again, mostly some nepo kids…There are lot of talented and authentic artists out here and they just need a chance.
