Nice video there, but I think the Wastelander recruit you got from resolving your ethical dilemma card at 32:45 should have been kept face down, because the Wastelanders tunnel hadn’t been excavated at all and the marker on the allegiance track is too far behind the point where it would unlock the Wastelanders rectuits

At 27:00 shouldn´t Draco have gotten 2 morale instead of one and be at the number 4 spot? He had gotten one before because of his special power. This is a fun game which is quite unique.

Looks like I did give him 2 but yeah I forgot about his special ability once or twice :) Yeah I really enjoy the game especially on 4-5 players!

I got the Stonemaier upgrades which makes the game pop even more. Very cool theme, worker placement mechanic and star system. :-)

Yeah cool! I think the components are great in the base game also!

I really liked this game, but my daughter (who is my gaming group) hated it, so I ended up getting rid of it. I have heard that the reprint has a solitaire variant. If it does, I will likely buy it again.

Oh thats to bad :( I didnt know there was a solo variant for this, might have to look that up!

As far as I know, the official solo variant is only going to be included in the upcoming reprint, although I could be wrong about that.

The solo variant is included in the expansion “Ignorance is bliss” which is part of the reprint

It reminds of Anachrony.

Yeah theres similarities I guess, this one is very quick turns wich is something I really enjoy!

🤔 I actually don’t see any similarities save for resource collection and worker placement, which actually makes this game pretty similar to all worker placement and resource collection games. In Anachrony you don’t have factions you’re trying to up your standings with to get bonuses, you are not placing control tokens, your workers are not dice that you may lose, you instead have different kind of workers that can do different actions, you need resources to construct buildings on your board which become private worker placement slots, you have to manage the exosuits which are required to take actions on the main board, you have the resource borrowing mechanism with time travel to close the loop, you have the paradox and anomalies mechanisms which block some of the building sites on your board; there’s none of this in Euphoria. In Anachrony you have asymmetric starting resources and evacuation conditions, in Euphoria you just have asymmetric powers from the recruits you select which might be compared to leaders’ powers in Anachrony. There are variable endgame scoring conditions and you win at points, here you just win by placing all your control markers. Even the settings are totally different: you have a flourishing dystopian society here based on keeping people dumb to abuse them and make the powerful thrive on their work; in Anachrony most humankind has been erased from earth by an explosion 300 years before the events in the game and the asteroid which sent its shockwave in the past causing the devastation is due to strike earth in a few decades, so all survivors who were leading their lives each with their own beliefs and way of living in their safe havens come together to evacuate as many people as they can from the capital before the asteroid hits the earth. I think the two games are pretty much different indeed.
