One important addition to the Althyk and Nymeia fight is that Nym has two different card variations. One some occasions she'll use the Pyretic/Ice cards as shown in the guide but on other occasions she'll use a Love card that causes a gaze attack. If the Love card remains upright then you need to look away from Nym when the attack goes off. If the Love card reverses then you need to look at Nym when the attack goes off. Failing to do this right will cause you do to the frozen in place sort of charmed dance for a few seconds... which can end up with you being unable to dodge Althyk's follow=up conal cleave attack.

Yeah, I watched a couple of guides where people were talking about Pyretic/Freeze and I never got either one of those and thought I must've been confused. It also seems like it's only one type of cards regardless of whether you wipe or not.

Nophica's Giving Land is based on the arena. It will always hit the center in the flower arena, and always be the donut in the forest. This is much easier to keep track of than watching the attack animation.

The second time she casts Floral Haze, players will actually get a short or long timer for it. Short timer means it'll go off with the Giving land after landwalker/gale combo, long timer will go off with the giving land after sowing circle. People die at this part assuming they all have the same timer and misjudge which giving land to adjust their forced march to.

Considering they kept saying Halone as Halony I am surprised they got Euphrosyne correct. Halone rhymes with bone and has been spoken by voice actors in the game for years. Syne is a Scottish word that rhymes with sign, But Euphrosyne is a Greek goddess and her name is pronounced the way they said it. Also of note is that Euphrosyne and her sisters Thalia and Aglaea (also has been spelled Aglaïa) were daughters of Zeus and the Oceanid Eurynome. I suspect Thalia will be the next in the raid series.

About second Floral haze, it's not always has a longer timer. It can be randomly with a longer or same as first one timers.

In the trash fight before Halone, the big donut aoes can be interrupted by tanks or physical ranged dps. Although this will probably never happen if that trash fight in Puppet's Bunker is anything to go by lol

Nope, sadly as a physical ranged I gave up on my interrupt ability cause its use was so niche I just gave up on it and I pop mitigation instead to keep people barely alive

I wish Alliance raids operated the same as normal raids wherein there's only 1 boss per instance. Cramming mechanics of 4 bosses at once is seriously a pain.

i don't get the UI counter nor have i ever seen pyretic/freeze... done the raid 10 times already. did they change something since this video was made? One important note... in our group they killed the dude first while the speedup mechanic was being cast on the towers but before it could complete... this ended up causing a wipe since we all stacked where the speedup was supposed to be but since he was killed before the cast was done, it didn't go off so that actual first tower went off first pushing everyone off the edge. Just be careful of the DPS during that and if the boss is close to dead maybe use your knockback mitigation as a safety.

What a undertuned, disappointment of a raid. Undertuned, skipping mechanics on day 1, mechanics take their sweet ass time. Bosses don't even mix their mechanics until 20% health. Why is ilvl 590???? When best gear is 620 max for casuals. Make it 61p or 620 for godssake, and the armor at ilvl 620. What is your team doing YOSHI

@@jaxs616 PLD has a level 26 skill called "Rage of Halone". During the PLD questline, you spend some time in Coerthas, where Halone is worshipped. She also wields a sword and shield like PLD. Well technically a spear and shield, but close enough. And much like her followers in Corethas/Ishagard, PLD has traditionally been tied to religion. A Holy Knight. Which is why to me as a PLD lover, Halone is like our Goddess.

@@almightypalevin8186 that's awesome! She's my favorite. Winter is my favorite season and my house (that I finally got this week!!) is in Empryeum. I really got hooked on FFXIV in HW. I don't remember much of the PLD questline I'll have to go watch some videos to refresh!
