If you search for Eureka, Michael Storer you will find the design. I used 6mm marine ply as that is what I could get. 5mm might be better. It is not super light as I fibre glassed 3/4 of the outside hull, about 30kg. you can build them in the 20kg area but I built it for strong and durable.

that canoe stock with okume plywood is 50 lbs. 6mm ply
