I discovered your channel a couple days ago and have been watching all of your videos. I love the way you present information in a very straightforward and easy way, and I love that you cover lots of details that most people wouldnt bother to cover. You have a new subscriber in me :)

I think it’s awesome that you said how long the cable is. I’ve purchased some products that were great but would be totally frustrated by a short cable

Nice review 👍 I just wondered the setting Knob for grinding in a best method. Could you help in the next review? Thanks ☺️

Sure thing, Ben! In my case, I dial in around 1 for fresh espresso, and 0 for store bought. But I do not know if each grinder may be calibrated a little differently. Thanks for the question, and happy coffee drinking!

Right on, Dale! The Specialita is an awesome little grinder!

Thank you very much. I would love to know your opinion in comparison to the Baratza Sette, aside from the noise, the speed, taste, etc.
@TomsCoffeeCorner2 жыл бұрын
Hey Eduardo, I like Baratza for the American market. That being said, the 270wi I owned was the fastest, loudest, and messiest grinder I’ve owned. It was also buggy with its integrated scale. The espresso was good, but that grinder was not a good fit for me. Keep in mind the Sette has conical burrs, while the Specialita has flat. They offer slightly different taste profiles according to most experts.

I just bought the all chrome version to replace a 12 year old Eureka Mignon Instanteo (MkI). It's great. I wondered why the badge was on the back and now I know. While the manual describes carrying out internal maintenance and cleaning, it doesn't mention removing the badge (as far as I can tell). I would have gone nuts trying to find that screw! Anyhoo, you probably know that mignon means dainty or cute, which sums up this little machine very nicely. One thing though I cannot get that display contrast function to work. Any ideas?
@TomsCoffeeCorner Жыл бұрын
Glad you like the Specialita - it's been my go to for 3 years already. I have not adjusted the contrast, but I don't feel the need to. I don't think it's possible.

Hey Juan, thanks for your comment! What kind of budget do you have for the grinder?

@@TomsCoffeeCorner € 50 € 80 ... I really like coffee, I work on cruise ships I'm a bartender ... here are big coffee mills, but I would like a good little one to take home.

@@juancarloszapata1756 Hey Juan, for that price, this is the only grinder I know that can (with a mod) grind fine enough for espresso. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZeWmpJ-ob98asU

but which one do you condemn me? even if it is higher priced .. and what do you think of manual mills? which would be the best, thanks for your time.
@TomsCoffeeCorner3 жыл бұрын
Hey Juan, I must be honest that I don't have experience with hand grinders. I have heard that Timemore makes a good one. I would recommend something in the Eureka Mignon line. Great results. Maybe you can find one used for a good price? Otherwise, an older Mazzer Mini or Mazzer Jolly with dosers are great options that are cheap.

You've mentioned that you've had an sette 270 before...I'm really torn between specialita and the sette, which one would be your choice for espresso?
@TomsCoffeeCorner Жыл бұрын
Specialita! The build quality is better, and it is quiet! The Sette is just way too loud for me. Also a bit messy. The Specialita is much more tidy, as it includes an anti static declumper.
@relaxstation6140 Жыл бұрын
@@TomsCoffeeCorner thanks! And if the mess or noise wouldn't be a problem. The work flow, ease of use and quality of the grind would still be better on specialita? cause those are the key things im looking at while trying to pick.

@@relaxstation6140 Just buy the cheaper grinder, I think that's what you want to hear.

The grinned coffee makes a mess and doesn’t land all in portafilter , not like the video here, why?
@TomsCoffeeCorner Жыл бұрын
It might be too static laden. You could consider using a funnel otherwise. They make them for each basket size. 👍🏻
