Germany looked very impressive. Free-flowing & pretty flawless, particularly in that first-half. Some excellent finishing too. Scotland weren't great, granted, but Germany looked as good as I can remember any nation looking in the curtain-raiser match of a tournament.

Congrats to my team, let's shift our focus to Hungary now.. We need to display a better performance than today's, else today's victory would be meaningless.. I was hoping Scotland would push us, but i honestly never knew that we would barricaded them in their own half so consistently, and what i really liked was that as soon as we lost the ball, we fought aggressively to reclaim it.. One error i blamed Scotland for, was to give so much space to our engine (Kroos), but nevertheless, if they had chosen to assign a marker to him, it would have freed up others.. I won't get carried away, because we weren't pushed, besides, i wouldn't have gotten carried away if we were, because it's a long way to go, and we still have a lot of work to do, because i don't think our defense is solid just yet.. This is what many Scots call ‘pish’. It’s such a shame because they more than deserve to be there. They were fantastic in qualifying. Germany was in pump mode too. That midfield is scary. They will destroy a lot of teams playing like that.
