In his post-match interview Tedesco said they played well and were unlucky, so I doubt he acknowledges his own poor choices. And Theate might be ready to play md2. I might still keep him as I probably need my free transfers elsewhere (triple Ukraine 😞).

@@FPLFranthe problem with using the WC later, is it is often too late. Everyone chooses the same players when it’s down to the last 8, it pretty much becomes a template team and if the damage is already done in your mini leagues then you can’t really do anything to claw back points.

@@FPLFranLike someone already mentioned, I think by that point the damage could already be done and everyone team roughly looks template. Also the fact that we get a unlimited transfers going into the KOs, will likely mean that everyone would have have 3 players from each favorites anyways, and in the event that a favorite gets KO’d we’d still have 3 or more transfers to move on from them.

Surprised not many people, whom I have seen on X and YT are considering a cheaper 3rd striker so that you replace someone like Trossard to Bellingham or a 4.5m to Sabitzer or Pedri. I wonder if Italy play a back 3 against Spain and we see the creativity of Pedri, Morata or Ruiz on full display (again).

Debating limitless as my current team giving me headache as have heaps of issues to deal with. I mentioned the possibility in a comment, because he played there before under Martinez and at Athletico. But I also took the calculated risk of going with De Cuyper, he did so well in the friendlies. But honnestly, Tedesco has now proven to be even worse than Martinez on a tactical level: the opening game is not the time to experiment, playing 2 DM when your defence isn't strong in buildup and you have players like Tielemans or CDK, against an opponent that is defensively strong offensively weak, playing Doku out of position, and most importantly waiting until deep in the 2nd half to make any meaningful adjustments.

Pretty sure you’ll only be able to carry one additional over, not two. This is on the rule page: During the group stage, if you don't use your free transfers between matchdays, you'll only be able to carry one forward to the next matchday - meaning you can't stockpile free transfers over several rounds.

I'm not sure about Trossard, because he plays on the last day and he did quite badly. By keeping him I could change Dimarco from whom I don't expect a good game, but he still costs 8 and if he were to play badly it would be a big waste
