Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways
- a far-side impact test, the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated by two dummies in the front.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

This chinese car about amazed most (if not all) car reviewer here in Indonesia, bcoz of the EURO NCAP rating and driving experience (including driving feel, suspension, engine response, accel, etc), mostly on par if not a bit better than most of japanese car with the same price tag (about 22,000 USD), ofc far better than other chinese car already sold here like wuling, etc..

@@jmjtv92 Yes that's what im leaning forward. Government company plus more features. The only concern is they don't have dealer in my city. They offer warranty so that means i have to drive 6 hours to closest dealer to get service.

В которой растаможка не очень большая, но плюс всякие налоги и в конечном итоге выходит иногда до 90% стоимости ввозимого авто. Есть Сингапур, акциз на легковое авто здесь составляет 20 %, а совокупные платежи при ввозе и регистрации авто - 150-300 % от его стоимости. Китай. Размер таможенной пошлины в Китае сильно зависит от страны-экспортера. Долгое время для многих государств она составляла 20 % и 25 % в зависимости от вида авто. С 1 июля 2018 ее снизили до 15 %. Однако в любом случае общая сумма растаможки в КНР очень высока и составляет минимум 100 % от стоимости ввозимого автомобиля. Почему все производители и ломятся сразу в Китае собирать свои авто.

(Danger - 9/2/24) Chery Australia has recalled 5901 examples of its Omoda 5, after discovering a defect which can result in brake failure for the small SUV. The recall affects all Chery Omoda 5s sold in Australia since local deliveries began in mid-2023. “Due to a manufacturing defect, the bolt securing the brake pipe union may not have been tightened sufficiently. This could cause the brake fluid to leak and result in reduced braking performance,” Chery said in its recall notice. “A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident resulting in serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants, pedestrians and other road users.”

Летом авария была на границе Ульяновской области, джили кулрей и кашкай лоб в лоб. Кашкай почти целый, кулрей морда в смятку. Зато в кулрей все целы, с ссадинами. А вот в кашкай семья насмерть , из 5 человек только один жив остался и то говорили навряд ли выживет. Одни на море поехали, а другие с моря.
