Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid barrier
- an offset frontal impact test, 40% of the width of the car is striking a deformable barrier
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking systems (car to car, with a pedestrian and a cyclist target), lane support and speed assist technologies and seatbelt reminders.

When will the euroncap get at pair with the IIHS in the tests those tests to me are obsolete, the Americans does now announced now stricter crash test but looks like the euroncap already haven't reacted to modernity and that the crashes aren't like that but can even crash the 7% of the car front and the car will not protect you, as well as the negative of perform small overlap test since in Europe the people don't crash like that

Francisco Gallardo; fully agree. It doesn’t tell a lot when every car crashed gets a 5 star. Just check how the Volkswagen group cars perform in the IIHS tests. Notably, they only improve where they have been called out: after small overlap driver side, they improved, but only driver side. When IIHS tested passenger side, it was not good again. They don’t really care about safety, just passing the tests. Or in the case of VW, cheat the tests.

Skoda killers. In a frontal collision, side airbags do not work and the driver hits the back of the head with the back of his head. On Toyota this is not. Even the superba do not work !!! DISLIKE !!!!
