Euro Truck Simulator 2 with FaceTrackNoIR v170

The program FacetrackNoIR let's you use your webcam as a face tracker. And with this combination transferring your real life head movements to the game for the driver's head movements. No more using mouse or keyboard for choosing where to look! The game is Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Adjust your settings like in the pictures:
(Start by setting up the main page and the curves and save your setup with a suitable name with SAVE AS.)

Also check: from FaceTrackNoIR program that you have set FreeTrack 2.0 as Game Protocol. Also check the FreeTrack 2.0 Settings that you have "Start dummy TrackIR.exe" checkbox selected. Also in the same window, use the "Locate DLL" button and see that it opens a new window that points to file path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Abbequerque Inc\FaceTrackNoIR", check that this path really holds the NPClient.dll-file.

Hi. Confirm that you have installed FaceTrackNoIR v170 from the Facetracknoir homepage (prefer the Full Installer v170). This is just to ensure that version 160 is not present (v160 version did need a separate .dll-file for SOME users to work with ETS2). Then, look for the line "uset g_trackir" from config.cfg-file. You can find the config.cfg-file from the file path -> C:\Users\username\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 Check that uset g_trackir is set to "1"

I've done everything you said - no luck still. It works fine out of game, but not in game, it's like the game doesn't detect it.

This might be far fetched and I also thought that such kind of behaviour you describe there would have been a thing of past with the latest FTN version 170. So, with the earlier version 160 there was this problem that for some users a .dll-file had to be downloaded and applied to FTN-folder for the FTN to work in ETS2 (and some other games too). Like I said, this should be far fetched try but you could visit FTN download page and look for "NPClient DLL" and see if changing that should help you.

i have on FaceTrackNoir 1.7 just "FPS: 3Hz". And its delay in a game on turns. Should I need a better web camera?

FaceTrackNoIR doesn't work. I use the PS3 Eye and in the FTNIR it works, but not in the game and i don't know, why. The PS3 cam will not work with Accela Filter Mk2, the initialize, then tracking and if i start the game, the cam does initialize again without results

It doesn't work. At your video ETS2 appears in FTN meaning that it's hooked. But for me ETS2 doesn't get hooked and just doesn't respond do tracking at all.

Hi I would like to ask you why the program won't load ETS 2. I still has only the name of my camera but not Euro Truck Simulator 2 under that. I tried run it as a administrator but it not help. Can you please tell me if Is it because of my integrated lenovo camera plus or that game is run in 64 bit. Thanks.

You can adjust the dead zones as well as the relative sensitivity. There's a ton of adjusting that you can do.

I know this is old, but for the records: it doesn't work on a 1:1 ratio, meaning, it is possible to adjust it so that turning your head 5 centimeters to the right would have the view camera covering about 110º. So you never need to turn your head completely away from the monitor.

Windows 8 - i had to run the FacrTrackNoIR tracking program as administrator to get it to work in ETS2. FYI for anyone else
