Previously, a member of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabanci University (1998-2016); emeritus professor since 31st January 2016. Summary of the whole talk is that: Europeans have categorized societies of the past according to their own limited studies of themselves and that's why their arguments are not entirely accurate. if you pursue reality, then you have to make a through investigation including eastern sources before arriving at conclusions about the societies of the past.

That's normally true. I said "normally" because the enlightenment emerged in Europe so they can observe European culture and societies. On top of that, I don't even think west Europeans really observed Russian culture and society. So this is a fact that Europeans look at the East with superiority but this is human behaviour. When a child sees that he is better than other children, then he will feel superior to others. If we don't like this situation, we better to study and educate ourselves
