I remember looking up those "spirit boxes" out of curiosity to see how they worked. It scans up and down FM radio frequencies, staying on random frequencies for about a second before skipping to another one. The conceit is that this allows you to zero in on the specific radiowave vibration of the ghost in question, in order to pick up their voices from beyond. The thing is, a box that scans FM radio frequencies can also pick up other things - such as, well, FM radio. And as it goes up and down the FM band, it'll pick up one-second snippets of radio broadcast, which played through the very low-quality staticky mono speaker, will sound like a vague voice or tone, behind a lot of static. In the words of a review I read for one of the more popular spirit box products: "It's a fucking broken radio."

Yeah, basically the way they show it in TV shows takes advantage of the power of suggestion. Note how they always TELL you what the "ghost" is trying to say BEFORE they play the audio. They do this so your brain will instinctively listen for that specific phrase even if it isn't there.

I tried to play it alone. Ghost showed itself within 30 seconds of me walking in the front door of the house. I spent 15 minutes on the porch trying to convince myself to go back in. I couldn't go back, and i haven't played since.

I am 99% sure that I saw Aoife pick them up... One would assume that she simply needs to scroll to them in her inventory but I've never played this so... who knows??

@@ashleysmith1276 I think she grabbed the locker key from the cabinet in the garage, unless I missed it. The keys aren't in your "inventory" the same way the tools are, if you've picked it up you can just use it. It's like how you can't actually flick through your items to the front door key, you just open the door

You don't need the spirit box for the Ouija Board, but you do need to be JUST inside the house...people do it at the door because if the hunt starts they might be able to react fast enough to get out of the door before it shuts. Also, I just realized using the ouija with the spirit box might cause the ouija board not to work because the program might pick up the question for the box instead of the board.

Zoe hiding in a corner of the ghost room gives me anxiety, so I'm waiting for her to give up on the Blair Witch theory. (probably never gonna happen though) Car keys are almost always in the green bowl next to the front door and the ghost making the car alarm go off has been one of the most annoying things for a long time in the game. good way to check for EMF without going inside is dropping the reader down and placing a video camera behind it so you can watch it while looking for orbs.

Georgina, then Aoife and Zoe say Ian is locked in his cupboard with paint cans. We assume making them kiss like action figures, but if he sprays himself in the face, he may start huffing paint. If the screams stop coming from the cupboard we should be worried.

You can move the ouija board and if you take a picture of it while it's turned on you can get money for it. That said, that glitches when the board is on the floor, so you should grab it and move it to a table to take a picture.

Don’t use the spirit box when trying to use the ouija board. The voice goes to spirit box first, so the ouija board doesn’t recognize it. Also, the ouija board has a 33% of failing (making lights flicker, dropping sanity by 40% even if demon, maybe hunting). Don’t forget to take a pic of it for money.
