“I know that that is not the proper thing, but I did it”. This made me laugh. Sometimes you just have to trust your eyeballs to get things done fast.

I love this technique, this is how I found you when I was looking for how-to hem jeans for my picky son, he wanted the original hem. Now I am hooked on your videos and search them when I come to Ytube and am so happy when there is a new one :)I have a question??? DO you use the same thread for your bobbin when you use a heavier topstitch thread or do you match with a lighter-weight thread?
@DowntownTailoring3 жыл бұрын
Hi Evelyn!!! Yes. Most of the time, I use the same thread for the bobbin. I feel that way it holds the top thread better. But I always make sure to loosen up the tension so it can glide easily.

I don't understand why you don't use a seam ripper. But the thread analogy was really interesting. Many thanks for that.

I'm so lost on the reducing bulk at the edges part. I've watched it 7 times and can't keep track of which edges you're trimming and what the top and bottom you mention are. help please
@DowntownTailoring4 ай бұрын
Hi! Sorry for my late response. I’ve been out for holidays. You’ll want to reduce some of the fabric that will be inside the hem. I’m going to find another video where this is more clear. Cheers
