I'm a Twente fan, but you just gotta love our last minute escape. First game against Man United, suprised friend and foe alike with a draw. Could have even been a win. Fenerbahce again a draw, should have won. Having high hopes we will manage too pull through the group stage. Lazio was simply too strong. Nice we really should have won, unbelievable how that turned out to be a draw once again. Against Union St. Gillouis horrific game. Complete off day by everyone. At Olympiakos got screwed over by the Olympiakos fans with their f@cking laserpens, missed a penalty because of that. Again a draw. At that moment I've lost already hope that we would survive the group stage. We win away though against Malmö and then finished it at home against Besiktas. Especially that day against Besiktas. The stadium was a Thunderdome

The braga case is insane, because close to the end of the match the fans actually celebrated one goal in another match, but the goal was cancelled. While some players still played for the goal (to the point that they did get a goal, but it was rejected because of an offside), some other players actually thought they were through. The Braga coach even mentioned that in the post match interview, and there are a few moments in the end of the match where you see braga players just running back the whole field when they were in a good position to cross. The thing is, the goal they celebrated? Maccabi tel aviv vs porto. It was rejected for offside. Conclusion: there's a very dexent chance that Maccabi's goal actually kicked out a portuguese team, but not the team they were playing against, and it was not accepted as a goal

As an Ajax fan, I still cannot fathom the loss against RFS. That was just a shit performance. But then still we shouldn't have lost. What makes it even worse is that a 0-0 draw there would have been enough for the 8th place, as we have a better GD than Rangers and were one point behind. Absolutely maddening. Anyway, the Twente - Besiktas match was very one-sided. Twente was just better from the start. It just took them a while to finally get that goal. They deserved the win. The one thing I've noticed about the Turkish teams, is that they are never good on the road. Face them in their own stadium, and they are a force to be reckoned with because of the fans. Face them at your home, and they just don't seem to show up.

Braga broke my heart. I had a 18 pick parlay on Draft Kings in which I chose over/unders for goals. 17 games were correct. For Braga-Lazio, I picked over 1.5 goals. Braga's 2nd goal in the 90+2 or +3 was called offside.... If that goal had stood.... *I would've turned $2.44 into $2,067.68.....madness*

7:20 well, to be fair they did have a lot of chances (one of them due to a halftime CM sub, Baba Alhassan literally making a bad backpass to Garnacho in the first minute of the half) but we had a few as well including the first chance of the game (CB Mihai Popescu only just missing a shot at goal after a free kick, he might have been offside though), what would have been the greatest goal this matchday had it gone in (a 35 meter shot in the 63rd min, sandwiched between the two United goals by ST Birligea of Midtjylland pressing goal fame, he hit the crossbar and it bounced out to Tanase that missed an open goal but was offside anyway. Honestly disliked Birligea even taking it on as he had scuffed another minutes earlier and it was a symptom of the lack of offensive ideas in our team, we shouldn’t have been THAT desperate yet) and I mean we played United after all, the fact that we were even in top 8 contention this late was beyond my wildest dreams at the start. In the owner Becali s words “I am just mad we cant fight with them anymore, they are too rich”. Definitely made quite a few defensive mistakes too, we switched to a 5 defender system for this game but I doubt that was part of it, our lads were just losing their markers on set pieces (Casemiro almost scored after a free kick for example) and low crosses (that s how both goals happened along with other chances). Also, our captain Olaru missing (with an injury this time, not another dumb red like vs PAOK) was also a huge loss for us, both Baba and Edjouma that played vs United are nowhere near Olaru s level even with the stupid reds. Hope he will be back for the playoffs at least, we got PAOK there after all where we did indeed get dominated the first time around let s not forget so it will be tough but at least we beat them once so maybe we can do it again? Another Romanian reunion with Razvan Lucescu (who was a Rapid Bucuresti coach and player so a bit of a rival)? Sounds fun, love the fact that we re still here above all! And the second leg is at home too so it will be another packed atmosphere like the one vs United! And yeah, imagine if Mou s Fener would have actually gone out lmao, that 1 GD saved them!

Just imagine if Braga instead of Olympiacos got Ferencvaros or Maccabi. No disrespect to these teams, but Olympiacos is a hard draw, especially away. Based on the Opta strength of schedule Braga had the 9th hardest draw. I'm not even remotely a Portuguese fan, but I'd be fuming if I were a Braga supporter. And this will screw our favorite teams too...completely stupid system

@@szilardenyedi2855 it's more fair than the old system you play teams I the same pot as you twice even the teams in pot 4 have a reasonable chance of at least 6 points, the old format heavily favoured the biggest clubs and teams in pot 1 always got easy draws also the same thing could happen in the group stage the draws are never going to be exactly even for every team.
