Good talk. What he didn’t mention with tipping is that most restaurants at least in Italy will charge a service charge as well as for water and bread. Something to keep in mind.

I've found that the restaurants in Italy that have a cover charge are usually tourist restaurants.

Wonderful! Would have liked some advice on dealing with allergies abroad.
@Magic_beans_ Жыл бұрын
My amateur recommendations are (1) ask plenty of questions, and (2) carry a little credit-card sized note explaining your allergy in the local language, and present it if you have concerns (same goes for medical allergies). You can get free templates online or buy premade cards, either plastic cards or PDFs to print out yourself. What I like about these is they can be very explicit: “If I eat shellfish, even in small amounts, I will have an allergic reaction and require medical attention. IS THIS SAFE FOR ME TO EAT?”

Food represents its own unique each country’s culture and make people closer at table. It’s important to have best variety food in different restaurant or on street because my stomach has to be happy then I’m happy when I’m away from home. I have been called foodie and don’t mind to be called Foodie♥️🤷♀️😋😂.

In addition to wonderful cheeses , 450 different kinds, Switzerland also has some excellent wines. A little known fact, as the wines are not exported.

He forgot to tell people not to ever use the word "préservatif" in French restaurants ! It's a common error, the word préservatif in French means condom, not preservatives....

its a pitty you only mention herring and french fries from The Netherlands there are more things to talk about like cheese (the gouda, edam and leerdam are from the netherlands , beer and jenever (from which the gin culture started) and for sweet stuff the dutch pancakes, the poffertjes (mini pancakes) and stroopwavels (syrupwaffels) and our vending machine with deep fried goodies that will fill you up for a few euros you missed out on most of the North European countries and i know that knowledge is available for Rick made several videos about The Netherlands

Rick, that’s a bit of a big Bullsh** what you say about Spanish tapas. You speak of the country’s “blazing sun” (well, in summer yes, in winter there is rain and snow), and people don’t organise their lives around the fact that they want to get out of the sun. Moreover, the pictures you post are from San Sebastián, a place where even in summer it can be rainy and cold. I know that your audience needs facts simple, but that doesn’t entitle you to say nonsense. I will tell you about the true origin of tapas. “Tapa” in Spanish means lid or cover. Back in the old times, when people were travelling by a carriage with horses, they had to stop every few hours at a tavern to refresh the horses and the travelers. The bartender was serving them a glass of beer or wine, covered with a slice of cheese, ham or bread, thus the word “tapa”.
