Baggage size and weights have NOT officially been changed yet. This may come in 2025, but nothing is official. Unfortunately, there is no new EU law, there is no new EU rule yet, published by the European Council. It's still up to the airlines at this moment.

I love your videos. The way you explain things is very clear.

Hi, where do I find this documented? We are flying on Swiss/Edelweiss and their personal items size is much smaller.

The new rule for liquids takes effect soon but the new size dimensions for carryon is only a proposal and not yet accepted by all EU countries. You still need to check with the individual airlines for their rules . Lufthansa will continue to allow a weight of 17 lbs for carryon and not the 22 lbs in the new proposal.

Good job mama.

The luggage sizes are just a recommendation, they have not adopted them yet and it had been suggested that the guidelines were a minimum and the airlines could make the bigger but not smaller

Don’t forget weight for carry on and personal item.

I like what they are doing, standardising is always good, but, and for me it's a big but, they did choose a very small measurement for the personal item. They could have gone with something like 45x32x18 and it would have allowed so many more bags. I don't own any bag that small, hopefully they will allow for some head room in the measurements

I have noticed some flexibility with the personal item, but you never know if that will change.

The issue with the liquids and scanners (in the UK anyway) is that the scanners are providing too many false positives and slowing queues down even more so they have gone back to the 100ml rules in a 20x20cm bag
