There should also be huge budget cuts in the UN. Excessive travel spending, lavish meals and alcohol. Limos, multiple security guards, clothing allowances etc. Each county should pay for their own UN delegates. I don't get it. NATO had financial agreements on military spending, and every country in NATO agreed on it. Why shouldn't everyone be expected to keep to the agreement? I can see how they would be ashamed that they didn't keep the agreement and got called out on it but they shouldn't be mad. My favorite is Iceland's 0% spending. The US doesn't do 2% it does 3.49%, Do you know who's higher, Poland at 3.9%, just one more reason to respect Poland.

We pay for the research, we pay for the testing, we pay for mfg and distribution with our tax dollars and then we pay very high prices, while the rest of the world pays pennies on the dollar. Example: I have asthma and in the U.S. paid $40 for my medication. I'm down in South America and same medication is $7. Remember how the UK got upset when Trump suggested that it start paying retail for it's medications? That would have been the end of their "free health care."

Only 5 countries have paid their (meager) 2% of the GNP for defense in NATO, although they all signed agreements! These countries are the US, UK, Poland, Estonia and Greece. The US uses 3.65% of its GNP for defense. However, the US has had a larger GNP for many years, meaning that it has contributed immensely to Europe's safety and defense for many years now. Most Western European countries are very affluent, but still won't pay! The entire European GNP is as much as, if not more than the US, if one includes all the countries (which they don't). Austria and Switzerland, for example, are neutral freeloaders and have never paid anything to NATO at all, although they have profited highly from NATO's protection, which has kept their countries secure since the end of WWII. It is Russia which demanded that these various countries remain "neutral", and now they are seeing the consequences of that, i.e. Finland and Sweden. Trump is right, as usual. US taxpayers are extremely weary having to pay for countries around the world. I lived in Europe for 30 years, and the only thing I noticed after all of that time is how they complain about and criticize the US in every way! So, let Russia have them!
