European Adventures Nikotimer going from Service DAF in Poland to Netherlands POV I continue a series of videos about how I went on a trip and started having adventures with a truck. First the batteries died, then the wipers broke. Now I have fixed the problem, but there is still one problem that I have not solved, because this problem concerns the rear view cameras that are installed in my truck instead of regular rear view mirrors!
I am often asked whether it is convenient to have such cameras with monitors instead of ordinary mirrors and I answer that it is convenient, BUT! Now there is one important amendment in my opinion, this is only convenient if there is a guarantee of at least 5 years that these cameras will function well, replaced or at least repaired in case of breakdown and not at my expense or at the owner’s expense, but at the expense of the manufacturer! Because at the moment these cameras show a very bad picture at night! They smear the light, increasing the exposure and creating a lot of interference, and if you need to drive backwards at night between other trucks in the parking lot, this will not be possible!
Replacing the camera on one side only costs 4,000 euros! Here is the answer to the question of whether it is convenient to travel with such cameras - convenient but very expensive! If this system fails, you just need to screw on the regular mirrors and drive as before with reliable but large rear-view mirrors! Returning to the topic of this video, I’ll tell you a little about where I’ll be going! I will drive along the national and very good roads of Poland! I will show you picturesque nature at the end of summer and at the beginning of autumn because there is a lot of greenery and the sun is shining! Hello Niko Timer, overall, it was a good trip. Of course, no trip would be complete without some rain and traffic. Good roads and everything was still pretty much green with a few Autumn colors in some of the trees. Has to be fairly warm still I kept getting a glimpse of your nice man legs, that provides some adult entertainment ha ha.😃 Look forward to your next video and I hope it is still warm there.
