@Games Account Well, countries or empires (if we talk of pre-British) grow big and small. They don't die. Bharat assimilated Islam to a certain extent even though tried to convert - they did not expatriate their loot out. We should know that we were an empire with the largest global GDP share [~25%] in the 1700s. It was the British that really drained the country - not the Mughals!

@@millabasset1710 Of course I agree that conversion was ugly. Force and taxation was involved. But then again, a good chunk of converts were from the lower socio-economic class of India - they accepted Islam willingly, thanks in no small part to the rigid and discriminatory caste system of India.
