@White Marlin This, unfortunately, is not limited to just rehabbed animals. Fully domesticated animals can react similarly and it's due in part that babies and young children don't know how to react to animals in a non-threatening and gentle manner, so sometimes the animal can react aggressively. It's not really the kids fault, they don't know better at that point and it's not necessarily the animals fault either, they will merely react to the situation. That's why it's important when you have kids and animals in the same house, you need to have the kids taught how to treat, understand and respect animals. Because even the most tame and sweet animal can react violently when threatened, or hurt. I mean, my sister has a husky. Sweetest dog ever, grew up around kids of all ages ever she had them. And when the grand babies were born, he would lick on them and cuddle with them all the time. Once they were old enough to walk and play, they would swat at him and be kind of rough with him. One day, they were running around and fell on him hard and he growled and nipped at them(didn't nip them, just at them as a warning). So, after this, we made sure to teach them how to be respectful and gentle with animals so this wouldn't be an issue or become a worse situation. I'm very sorry for their misfortune and loss and I hope they get through it.

Humphrey is too darn cute. I rehabilitate squirrels and they are an absolute joy to have around and watch grow, and then go off to start their own new generation. Ive released many, but have had one that was just too used to being around humans as unfortunately i couldnt help myself and handled her too much towards the end. I had her for years and ended up building her own little "condo" next to the release cage where she gets to interact with the other squirrels and run around the yard with them. She ends up staying in the yard while the others eventually move into neighboring yards and trees. But just this year, a neighbors outdoor cat got to her in her home and drug her out to the middle of the yard and tried to run off with her. My dear husband ran after it and jumped the fence to get to Molly and the cat finally dropped her. My poor sweet girl ended up not making it thru the night. I havent had squirrels since, and wasnt sure if i would be able to take in any new orphans this year. But honestly, if i dont, thats less of a chance of them making it as most of them come from trees being cut down along with their nests and mother doesn't come back for them. Or there are a lot of people around here that trap and relocate squirrels that happen to have had babies etc. Anyway, im sorry about your sweet Angel. The new babies are adorable and

When I saw the possums at the end that did it for me. You are the new steve Irwin/dr dolittle. I almost couldn't see the wasps nest removal though because your balls were in the way 🤣😭

I love your videos and this one was especially fun seeing all of your "house guests". I admire you for mothering these little creatures. I would have such a hard time returning them to nature! Keep up the amazing work!

First time viewer. Thumbs up and I subscribed. Love your rare gentle voice. Love the baby squirrel. I also love chickens like I love cats and dogs. Glad you were safe from that fall. I also fell from a ladder that one of the ladder legs broke. It was many years old. I heard it crack and threw the brand new chainsaw forward as I fell backwards. I think somebody liked me too.I sold the costly chainsaw for $20. lolyyy

I didn't expect this, but this is incredibly interesting. I mean no offense by saying that, just that it's really nice for you to explain your work and things related to it like the reason why hornets are so aggressive. I find it really interesting

I really love your love of nature. Save the hornets, save the wasps, and feed the mammals when you can. Wow. What a great circle of life.

It's funny, now Humphrey tends to like the pupating larvae vs the larvae he liked as a little bitty squirrel. I know he belongs in nature but I'm glad he made a home with you.

I like how you trained your chickens to come with you say 'cheep cheep', I did something similar and trained them to come when I whistle. They have better recall response than my dog! haha

Awe those possums are so cute . Like hornets people hate possums , skunks and raccoon’s however each one of these species plays an important role in keeping 🐛, slugs , 🐌 aphids and other troublesome pest in check . Oh people don’t care much either for squirrels especially after they have found their way into their attic or vehicle engine. Thank’s for the video .
