That's amazing that they left the stands of that circuit there, brilliant. The cars/van/lorries in France are bloody brilliant with bikes, they almost get up on the grass verge to get out your way. I do hope you remembered to stick your right leg out to say thank you? And that, was some bloody tunnel, bonkers. Brilliant Phil

Nice little tour you're having yourself there. It is so refreshing to hear someone get French town names pronounced correctly! I've just done a similar route through Reims, onto Nancy then Mulhouse (you nailed that pronunciation) Managed to miss most of the rain till we crossed the Rhine... Have fun, Ride safe.
@wsmv4 ай бұрын
Thanks buddy, fully bilingual me 🤣🤣 I agree though we don't try hard enough to pronounce these places correctly and listening to the locals makes such a difference. Strangely the only rain we had was from Mulhouse to basel and as soon as we hit the rhine (next video) it cleared up. Thanks for watching 😍

@wsmv4 ай бұрын
Hi Andy, and thanks for watching. We had them at the superbike store, and available online from them. The reason we went for the Oxford rainseal suits is because the length changes with the size but many other manufacturers have a 1 length but change the width. My Mrs is quite short so needed it to be a bit more sensible 🤣🤣

When I was in France they had tooll booths on the freeway all over but you could cruise pretty fast and Germany where I lived had no speed limit on the freeway, I remember weird artwork statues and monoliths like pyramids on the freeway, McDonalds in Europe is a abominatiion and tastes like kangaroo meat.

The roads are amazing through Europe (except Belgium, which are shocking) I have to be honest, we only had McDonald's once in Saarbrucken and they had a McRib so I was over the moon as I haven't had one in years 🤣🤣

I love Belgium and the country is like a fairytale land in some rural areas rolling green acres and pastures dotted with quaint little villages and the food so great , where I lived near Bremen the weather is horrible for riding most of the year and summer if you can call it that was over in a month...lol.

In general the main roads in France are excellent, Weston. Town and city roads can be a bit lumpy. The lucky French also do not have to pay any sort of road/vehicle tax unlike the UK where we pay a hefty fee to travel on sub standard rubbish. Looking forward to the next episode.
@fuglbird4 ай бұрын
You are so ignorant. The French toll roads are very expensive but quite good. Not like the UK where everything is free but rubbish.
@wsmv4 ай бұрын
French toll roads are quite inexpensive and well worth the payage. In the UK much of the expense is in the cost of fuel which is more than in France, as is Germany where there are also no tolls. We all pay, just indifferent ways. Settle yourself down with unnecessary remarks, this may seem like an open forum but believe me it's not 👌
@wsmv4 ай бұрын
You're 100% correct, I like the tol system the French use as it clearly is used to fund excellent roads 👍
@jimsadler87044 ай бұрын
@@wsmv Thank you, Weston. I would just like to point out to Mr FUGLBIRD that I lived in France for 10 years and so am not totally ignorant of the French system. All of France’s non motorway roads are generally very good and an effective way of traversing the country should you not wish to pay the motorway tolls. This ultimately means you do not have to pay any fees at all to travel on the vast majority of French roads which even includes some non toll motorways.
