European Parliament re-elects von der Leyen as Commission President

In July 2024, the European Parliament confirmed Ursula von der Leyen for a second term as Commission President. She’ll lead a team of commissioners - one from each EU country - who will propose and monitor the implementation of EU laws over the next five years.
Electing the President of the European Commission is one of the first jobs of the Parliament after the European elections.
The leaders of EU countries nominate a candidate for Commission President taking into account the results of the European elections.
The candidate needs to receive approval from Parliament with the support of a majority of its component Members plus one in a secret vote.
If the candidate does not receive the required majority, the European Council must propose an alternate candidate within a month.

Everyone smiles, everyone applauds and almost no one is in disagreement. It does not look good from the outside. It can grow into totalitarism.

Given what the sad show we have witnessed lately of the part of our european leaders :pipeline blowned, energy bought 40% higher,, farm land and 12 T$ in rare earth grab in Ukraine in a war all diplomatic world knows is one more nato blow; chinese "excess production" (what a concept!) and inflationary tarifs on China and worse the proposition to cease chinese real estate and companies (do that and nobody will ever buy EU bonds and businesses), and of course the support of gaza's genocide, no one can be disapointed in yet another nomination of this women (for which no european can vote) because there were no expectations in the first place. I see Turkey and Italy move in the right direction. Just a dumb elite has no perspective to see the world is shifting and insists on staying with the falling US empire that will drag us all down with it. This is capitalism biting in the ass. The culture of the stake holder and infinite growth, of "profit first and above all", fomented in the west, just did what it is supposed to so...takes investments where returns are higher, and those are higher where growth is higher and that is in the global South, now the BRICS, later all other countries but the west. With this von der lien vote, we move one step closer to further loss of sovereigty and independence from the US, one step closer to the west against the rest that has no chance of the west winning. moreover, If we the plebes had to put on with the weight of the free market we would like to ripe thr promissed benefits of cost lowering. Yet, Europe is charging its citizends 38% tax on chinese cars. In my opinion VonderLeyen " Industrial Revival " Plan must be implemented and augmented right away : The EU & USA Aviation and Jet Engines Industries are under attack . Right now is Boeing and GE , but Airbus is next . Europe (and USA ) have a shortage of Aviation Engineers and Technical Workers , a shortage of Inventors. Countries in the Indo - Asia and Middle East want to steal EU & USA Aviation and Jet Engines Industries. To do that they use Distractions : A bigger War between Christian Europeans, Christian Americans and Christian Russians is their goal : Zelenskiy, Yermak and their financial advisor Fink asking for more War against Russia is a good DISTRACTION. Also more War inside Europe is a Distraction to deport all Palestinians, Hamas and Islamic Jihad groups out of Gaza to Egypt Northern Africa and Europe, distabilizing everyone, and to build luxury Apartments and new Settlements in Gaza. Every scam, every fraud needs a distraction, the War is just that Distraction, and now is Europe Aviation and Jet Engines what they are trying to steal . Will the Parliament defend Europe Industrial base ? Fink will try to distract everyone.
