The station of Drei Annen Hohne lies several miles to the south of Wernigerode and was where we based ourselves for the next few days. A busy junction serving trains to the Brocken Summit (1550 m) and also Nordhausen, Alexisbad and also Harzgerode to the East of the area. I have split this location up into two manageable parts so as not to suffocate my valuable viewers with too much smoke and steam. The steam locomotive class is of the 2-10-2T 099 type, and was seen on this visit running a very frequent service to all the different destinations. I do hope this video entertains and evokes old fond memories of the European Railway Scene of the era.
