I’ve visited Latvia. It reminds me of where I lived in north west Oregon. I can understand why my great grandparents from Latvia settled in Oregon.

I hope you have the opportunity to visit America, Tom. I've visited many of the locations across the continent. America has the most ideal variety of landscapes in the world. The strength of the nation is in the variety of its people.

Hiya from North Dakota! My state has the Peace Garden, which is on the US/Canada boarder and symbolizes our commitment to peace with each other. It’s also a representation of our peace treaty. We also have Theodore Roosevelt National Park. President Roosevelt use to spend a lot of time in my state and has said it helped shape him when he ran for president. If I remember correctly, one of his more famous quotes was spoken in ND: “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”

I live in one of the best places in the US, the Olympic peninsula of Washington state. It has snow covered mountains, verdant forests and azure seas with islands.

How often do you have to scrape the Moss off yourself? ..... jk
@michaelroark20198 күн бұрын
@@jamesalexander5623 The geography of the Olympic peninsula is quite varied in terms of precipitation. I live on the north side of the mountains on the edge of the rain shadow at Discovery Bay. Protection Island at the head of the Bay is at the epicenter of the rain shadow only having about 10 inches a year. In contrast Mount Olympus on the west side near the Pacific Ocean has 100 to 200 inches a year. Tremendous different between a rainforest and a virtual desert. Protection Island has mostly grass and no trees. Sequim is near the center of the rain shadow and is the lavender capitol of the US. So, there is moss but not like the Hall of Mosses near Mount Olympus at the Hoh River.

There are thousands of unbelievably beautiful places to see across the USA. Around any one of those locations when you travel to the USA, you have to research first. As an example there's incredibly beautiful parks all around Seattle, aquatic, mountain, rain forest and volcanic.

Yes, Alaska has roads. Years ago I drove with a group in June all the way to Denali National Park. Airplanes are common for residents however as the state is so huge. From Southern California here. Most people are polite here 😄.But it is very large. My city of 85,000 is considered small. California is the richest state of all 50, and has a population if about 35,000,000. 10% of all Americans live here. It is also the leading agricultural state, the leader in television and movie production, and has a large number of major tech companies such as Google It has the most National Parks as well.

Born on an island near Seattle, lived in the state until I was 14 and moved to Montana. Fished a lot in the Yellowstone streams during High School (age 15-18). California for university, then work. I camp, but mostly in smaller state parks instead of the national parks. As you have already figured out, the problem is that there are too many beautiful places to visit!

NYC reporting in! I've only been a few states. I've probably spent time vacationing out of the country slightly more than in the US. Yellowstone National Park is very nice. But as you can see the USA is ridiculously large. Pretty much the size of all of Europe. So you definitely want to pick a state or two and just plan a trip that way to really have time to see the sites and enjoy local food! I also agree this guy's video is great. The scenery look like Windows wallpapers!

I think visitors are now prohibited from visiting Shiprock, including the use of drones. But, tribal members are allowed to visit the structure.

Geographically the US is in a very lucky position and not just for its varying landscapes. If you havent watched "how geography made the US ridiculously op" i recommend it.

I've been to 36 US States and 36 Nations ( Mostly in Europe ) and I'd say there are places in Europe as beautiful as those in the States! .... Also there are No Palaces and maybe a few tiny, fake Castles in America!
