Disneyland opened in 1955 in Anaheim California. It is landlocked, so it cannot expand. When Disney wanted to make a bigger park, he went looking for somewhere he could purchase lots of land and far enough away from Disneyland that it did not compete too much. He decided on Florida and built Disney World in Orlando.

Interestingly enough, the Chairman of the Anaheim Disney Parks said “We’ve got so much space to play with. Disneyland, for example, Walt’s original theme park, we still have enough room to build another Disneyland there if we choose to do that" on November 29th, 2023. So technically it is capable of expanding now

Cedar Point at 6 can only be justified because of the "theme" criteria. It's the best coaster park in the country hands down. I may be biased (or spoiled) as a life long Ohioan, but I have been to most of the other parks on this list Do yourself a KZbin content favor and react to an up to date coaster video that just covers Cedar Point... 2 words, Steel Vengeance, find out about it!

Disneyworld (Florida), Disneyland (California), and Universal Orlando (Florida) are actually large resort complexes that have several individual parks to visit. Separate admission fees, different experiences. Universal's complex includes Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios Florida, as well as a water park. Half of the Harry Potter attraction is in each of the two parks. You can get a 2-park pass to jump back and forth between them to get the whole experience in the same day.

Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure are literally right next to each other and pretty much make 1 park at this point. You can get tickets for access to both parks but you can also just buy tickets to either one separately. My family until 2019 had annual tickets to go multiple times a year when we all still lived in California until about 5 years ago.

Cedar Point is one of the best (if not the literal best) theme parks for roller coasters in the world not just America. They had the tallest coaster in the world for a long time and have some insanely good coasters. It’s in a somewhat random (when compared to the whole country) place on Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio but still attracts people from all over the world for its very strong reputation. I’m from somewhere close (Erie, Pennsylvania) and have been many times it’s truly insane

Cedar Point is kind of the Mecca of roller coasters. Everyone who is in enthusiast about rollercoasters must make their pilgrimage there 😂 It is consensus that it has the best collection of roller coasters in the world. Also, it has two coasters that are often brought up in the discussion for the best roller coaster in the world in Steel Vengence and Maverick and another roller coaster that was the number one best roller coaster in the world for like a decade straight in Millennium Force. Valraven actually isn't even top 5 at the park.

African Safari Wildlife Park, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Hocking Hills and countless other State parks, 313 miles of Lake Erie coastline with multiple beaches, 37 islands in Lake Erie, most popular vacation islands are Put-in-Bay, Kelly's and Middle Bass. A good mix between Great Lakes region up North, Midwestern on the West and Appalachian region on the east, great place to grow up 💙

Andre- I have been to all the parks in the video. At 78 years old, I love roller Coasters. I go on every one in the park, every chance I get. My friend is retired from Disney and we get n for free. Disney California Adventure, Disneyland , Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain and Universal Studios California are all in Greater Los Angeles. Disney in California is limited in space, so the rides are creatively stacked together to save sapce. Less walking. The weather is usually nice. Disney World in Florida, Universal Florida, Sea Word and Busch Gardens Tampa are around Orlando Florida. Huge complex with lots of walking. Orlando is like a sauna 5 months a year. Cedar Point is amazing for roller coasters, but It is in Ohio, not near any big cities. In my opinion. all are crazy expensive. Bring lots of money. Staying on grounds means no car needed (they have shuttle buses. Staying nearby is much cheaper but you need a car. PS- I would not take a child until at least 4-5 years old. And allow for nap time mid day to avoid cranky child

The two original Disney Parks are Disneyland which opened in 1955. It's located in Anaheim, California southeast of LA. The second Disney park is Walt Disney World (Disneyworld) which opened in 1971. It's located in Orlando, Florida. North Central Florida. Both parks have additional parks attached to them. There are 6 main Disney Parks around the world. Disneyland Paris, Shanghai Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland. The asians love their Disney. There are many more amusement/theme parks in the US. One they should have mentioned is Hersheypark at Hershey, Pennsylvania. If you like scary rollercoaster rides this park has them. The first one on the video's list was always known to us as Magic Mountain when I was a kid. It has a ton of thrill rides and is located north of LA. This park is part of the huge assortment of Parks owned and operated by Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. They own 27 parks (both thrill/theme and water parks) scattered throughout the United States. Orlando, Florida has a huge concentration of large amusement parks. Possibly the most in the world.

Maybe y'all who have been to both can correct me, but I find the "full immersion" of Walt Disney World in Orlando part of experience. You don't question, you just accept the world around you. The one in California is more like a theme park, but with the Disney twist. When you visit the one in Orlando, and stay in a resort on the monorail line, you can go days and not remember there is a life outside the park/resort. However, for a more accurate cultural "ride" in the Orlando area is the Winter Park Chain of Lakes Boat Tour. Shows you what FLORIDA is like (not the mouse), going from lake to lake through channels made ages ago (or naturally). Glad you're wise enough to wait a few years before taking the family to the US (or just Disney). Kids under 5 don't remember much, get tired sooner, and won't have a full experience. About 5 or 6 is when the memories are made, and that would be an outstanding memory - to go to Disney as a kid. And you watching him have those experiences! How fun! I'm so happy for y'all.

5:30, Andre that was one of the 4 out of 5 Great Lakes that surround my State of Michigan, Lake Eerie, the smallest. But still can be confused as a Sea by its size. Cedar Pointe in Ohio Is considered by most Americans as the number one roller coaster Amusement park in the country, but not theme park apparently by the British narrator. The theme there is "The Peanuts", from the Charlie Brown and Snoopy comics.

Disneyland is in Anaheim, California. It is smaller in size compared to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Disney World is made up of 4 theme parks and 2 water parks. The 4 theme parks in Disney World are the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. My husband and I went to Disney World for our Honeymoon. They have special ticket packages for newlyweds. We enjoyed our week there going to all 4 theme parks. Orlando, Florida is very tourist oriented and has many theme parks and amusement parks other than Disney.

I just read that Disneyland in California has 54 attractions in 1 park and 18 next door at California Aventure Park (you need a separate ticket for each park), Disney World in Florida has 46 attractions over 4 parks (you also need a separate ticket for each park). Disneyland is a little cramped but there is so much to do. I only liked 3 of the attractions at California Adventure, but i LOVED them and we went on them many times. I'm glad i went there, but i probably wouldn't go again. I have been to Disneyland many times and can't wait to go again. I have not been to Disney World in Florida but i would like to go. I can't afford to visit all 4 parks, so i think i would choose Magic Kindom. I've also been to Universal Studios in California (1 park) and it was great. I would love to go to Universal in Florida (3 parks). If i could only afford 1 park ticket i would choose Isands of Adventure. Another wonderful park a little more than an hour South of Disneyland and Universal Studios in California is San Diego Zoo Safari Park. You get to travel through the animals. It was awesome.

Cedar Point better be on the list! It is THE best park I've ever been to... of course, Kings Island (gag), Six Flags (meh) & Cedar point... oh, ok, Disney World, Epcot & the other 4 or 5 parks there in FL in same Orlando area). Plus Bush Gardens... is about all I've been to... still. I've seen things and talked to people. Maybe it doesn't warrant #1, but It NEEDS to be in the top 10 somewhere... at least 4th or better, imo. It's the oldest LARGE park (technically the 2nd oldest, period). But they've hit a nice balance between staying current while still maintaining the history. 6th? Bah! I don't believe it! I call bs on #5. It's AFFILIATED w/ Disney World.... not Disney World. (But I think you can get tie-in tickets - as I recall, it's what we did). Brooklyn is more a Borough of NYC, more than a city itself (It WAS a city, But, in 1898, it surrendered its independent existence and became a borough of New York City.) The FL Disney is larger... so, yeah, likely 'better'.... Only ever been TO the FL one, and am UNLIKELY to go again in the future. (It's currently run by a Rethuglikkklan fascist Rhonda Santis. (Ron DeSantis). Maybe if they dump his fascist butt & go blue soon... +But w/ Cedar Point a mere 2 hours drive away.... why?

I remember my trip to Anaheim Disneyland in 1964 as a 6 yr. old boy, it was getting this amazing price of $1.60 for general admission adults and adjusted for inflation in 2024 dollars which is equal to $15.88. Children's admission for ages 3-11 was only 60 cents and to park all day was 25 cents and they would sell you adventure coupon books the big ten for children was $2.95 and for the jumbo 15 books of ride coupons were $3.95...A through E tickets you pulled out of your little book for each ride. The A tickets were valued at 10 cents and the E tickets were the most valuable at 75 cents. Good times and parking was easy almost at the front entrance gate, no waiting for the parking tram to deliver you.

Amazing memories. My parents took us to Disney World Orlando Florida in 1974 we stayed in the Contemporary Hotel which I believe my father paid $49.99 a night which was expensive considering you could stay in a brand new Ramada Inn at the time for $19.99 to stay in the Contemporary Hotel in Disney World today is probably over $500 a night. I remember being mad because we drove all the way from Pennsylvania to Florida and got to Disney World and my dad had no patience and took us on I think four rides and bought us a souvenir and we had to leave after 6 hours because he could not stand it any longer, we never got to see the fireworks or half of the park. We went on the main rides like Space mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean and 20,000 Legions under the sea and the haunted house. But long after that disappointment I went to Disney World another eight times mostly in the 1990s and earlier 2000s. Whereas Epcot and animal kingdom are my favorite parts.

Disney's California Adventure Park is adjacent to Disneyland. I lived in Orlando as well, and my sister works for Disney there. Disney World has 5 parks, I think, including the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, a Sports park, EPCOT, and I don't even know what the other one is. Orlando area is full of theme parks. When I moved there, one park was a miniature China park, and one was Bible themed.

One year my daughter and I took a road trip to Niagara Falls, and we decided to hit as many amusement parks that were on the way there, then we took a different route back and hit more amusement parks. It was great fun. Cedar Point, OH was by far our favorite park on that trip. Walt Disney World in Florida is the original and largest. The ones in California, Disneyland and Disneyland Park, are much smaller. You can literally plan an entire week's vacation just in Walt Disney World, and then right next door you have the Universal Studio parks, which are just as good as Disney.

Both because of the fact that it sits right on Lake Erie and the fact that it has some of the best rides in the world. And thank you for calling our state beautiful! Ohio gets shit on a LOT, but it is beautiful. Oldest park in the country (1870) and they still have The Blue Streak coaster, which is a vintage trip of a coaster.

Disneyland is California, Disney World is Orlando Florida. I think in Orlando they are up to five parks that are separate prices. In Orlando, there is Disney’s animal kingdom, there is Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Epcot. That is all in Orlando.

Disneyland is in California, and it's a smaller operation which tries balance new and traditional offerings. Disney World is in Orlando, FL, and it's much, much bigger. It hosts Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and The Animal Kingdom. Magic K and Animal K are better for kids, but an adult will still enjoy those. Epcot is based on science and world culture. Hollywood Studios is where you'll see the movie and TV based stuff. Disney World also has Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon as water parks. You cannot finish Disney World in a week. They don't hire engineers at Disney, they "Imagineers." Side note, Knoebels in Pennsylvania is fantastic. Free admission, free parking. You only have to pay if you ride, and even that is cheap. It's an amusement park surrounded by nature, and they have one of the highest rated wooden roller coasters in the world.

Disney California Adventure video showed lands from Disneyland. The two parks are separated by a plaza. You can also buy a ticket to park hop on the same day. Knotts Berry Farm is only about 15-30 minutes away, depending on traffic. I have actually been to both Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and the beach in the same day. It helps that I’m a long time Disney pass holder and was able to get free tickets to Knotts on that day, but the point is, they are relatively close.

Just got home from Orlando this morning. Went to all 4 Disney parks. Previously couple years went to Universal 2 parks. Velocicoaster is the best roller coaster in Florida and personally im dissapointed how much Disney has fallen. In the last 5 years I would say Universal has passed Disney in almost every aspect and next year they're opening another park that will be the best in Florida Also this video is outdated. Now Disney parks are much more than $100 and to ride the best rides you have to pay $20 a person per ride or you will wait for 3 hours. Luckily ive ridden Avatars two rides multiple times but skipped it this time because I refuse to pay for a ride that I already paid to get in park.

@@jeffhampton2767 EPCOT is probably my favorite adult park of all. Just got hammered there two days ago lol. Disney has become a money trap though and I simply won't wait over about an hour for ANY ride. Velocicoaster is the best ride in the history of the state of Florida but it has almost blacked me out twice. Epic Universe opens in a year and it will be the most popular park for the next 5 years probably.

If you go to Disney in the states, go to Disney World in FL. The one in Cali is the size of the parking lot of Disney World. There's also a lot more to do in Orlando. Just go to Orlando. They don't mention that Disney has an animal kingdom, Epcot, a nightlife park and water park there. There's more hotels, they''re more non-Disney stuff to do like Seaworld and the better Universal Park is in Florida. And just an hour away from Orlando is Tampa which has Busch Gardens, which is also epic. Florida is also wrapped in beaches and has plenty of other parks to visit. California is going to be more epxensive all around.

The way we always understood it growing up was, Disney LAND in California was not as good as Disney WORLD in Orlando. I'm not sure if they changed the names or if these titles were always unofficial. Universal studios was so much better when nickelodeon studios was there and you could tour it, watch shows being filmed, participate on the game shows etc. If you hung out by the slime fountain you would be on the nickelodeon TV channel since they were always sending people out there live for promos. As an adult and since your kid is so young that they might not even go on rides or remember the trip you might enjoy EPCOT (a disney park) this place is great-- it is a bunch of little replica areas of different places in the world, some of which you might find funny as a European. It has great food tailored to the different countries represented, the hardest part is not eating too much. If you like rides, I would just skip the disney and stuff all together and go to six flags which is more of a fair grounds style park and is roller coaster and rides focused. Also their mascot is a terrifyingly high energy old man.

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park are two theme parks, next to each other. Disneyland was 1st, then Disney world in Florida, then California Adventure. California and Florida parks can stay open year long, others - in northern states - are closed during winter ( January thru March ) and some are only open on weekends in Fall & spring. Full time in summer months. But some northern states have big indoor water parks with small coasters.

I can't do all that walking.😢 Cedar Point is a great park. They have a roller-coaster made out of wood called, "The Blue Streak". Unless they torn it down. I think it's the oldest roller-coaster there. It may not be faster or have the highest hills...but you will have a few seconds of air time in your seat. Great memories.

Kings Island is cool as well, but they got rid of the Son of Beast, aka the only looping wooden coaster ever built. Ohio used to have several more awesome parks that have since closed. The most famous of those was Geauga Lake southeast of Cleveland. It became six flags over ohio before closing in 2007.

You're expecting a baby boy? So exciting! Congrats, I'm sure he'll be very handsome and healthy. Strongly recommend you explore and fully know what's inclusive for admission and what you pay for separately. Food and merchandise is always something you pay separately for. There are plenty of similarities between the Universal and Disney Parks, this is so everyone gets what they want to experience rather than wishing they went to the other one. Often, most people go to the one closest to them. People going to California are no doubt experiencing everything else the state has to offer. People going to the theme parks in Florida are pretty much going for mostly the theme parks. I've been to the Disney and Universal parks in Florida but that was only once, and I was about 8-10 years old. Sadly, we didn't stay in the hotel/resort there and I couldn't do much. We did go during the autumn season and boy it felt like the peak of summer. I do hope to revisit someday and make the most of it on my terms.

Both Disney and Universal are full resorts, each with multiple separate parks, and multiple hotels. So, Disney Florida has Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood studios. You can purchase a park hopper pass to visit all of the parks, or individual tickets for each. Magic Kingdom is geared towards younger kids, but will always be my favorite. Growing up in Florida, I have been at least a dozen times. The first time I took my kids was amazing - very emotional for me. And Christmas at Disney is magical! Universal has Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and their water park Volcano Bay, and just saw that they're planning a fourth park that is supposed to open in 2025. Same as above, you can by park hopper type passes that will give you access to all, or you can buy individual tickets for each. All of the Universal parks are great as well, but in my mind, Disney will always be the best. Would definitely recommend NOT going during the summer, as it can be brutally hot. That is, unless you're planning on visiting the water parks too. And, if in Orlando, you can't forget about Sea World, Legoland (in nearby Winter Haven), and Busch Gardens (in nearby Tampa), which are also great. Really, if the focus of your vacation is theme parks, you can't beat Florida.

Disney world is great because there are several parks clustered together all providing different experiences. Each of these parks takes multiple days if you want to see/do everything in that particular park. Disney has great transportation that includes flights, transportation to/from and within the Disney park complex itself. It is great to stay in a Disney hotel in the park complex because all transport is right there and included. Once in a lifetime experience that needs 1-2 weeks to do.

Some advice. When kids are under 10, go to more little kid friendly places. Then when teens, more adult type places. After kids are grown, enjoy everywhere that’s easier to go and see and where you don’t need to limit yourself because of kids age. You don’t want to visit national parks trying to push a stroller or carrying a child who will get tired in a few hours.

You absolutely should go to Disney Land and Universal in Orlando. I’ve been to Disney Land in California once but I’ve been to Disney land at least 10 times throughout my life and I’d have to say it’s one of my favorite places on Earth(especially as a Star Wars fan). There’s unlimited things to do in Orlando and I’d say the majority of the people I see at Disney and Universal are foreigners visiting which is cool to see. I’d recommend bringing your son around the time he’s 3-5, most memorable Disney experiences for me personally. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is also the best waterpark I’ve ever been to. As a side note, if you’re into big scary roller coasters I’d recommend Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina

It is confusing that they included the Disney park in California in two separate places. They are sort of separate, but all lumped together as Disneyland. Disney World in Florida has multiple parks within it. I’ve never been to Disneyland and have absolutely no desire to go. I have been to Disney World a few times. We went to Florida every few years when I was a child because we had relatives there. One year we stayed a little longer and went to Disney World the year it opened. It wasn’t quite completed, but was interesting. My brother and I were too old for the Disney character parts but enjoyed some of the rides. I went back a couple of times as a young adult. We enjoyed the Epcot portion very much! Six Flags has multiple locations. The nearest one to me, and I think the oldest one, is Six Flags over Georgia. I went there a few times as a young teen.

I prefer rollercoaster parks more than theme parks. I think Universal looks very exciting compared to Disney because they combine big rides with movie and story elements. Disney rides tend to be tame and for families. As a thrill seeker, I find them a little boring, but they are immersive and pretty.

Also Knotts Berry Farm is NOT located in Anaheim as the voiceover states. It is in Buena Park - a separate city but NEXT to Anaheim. So, dont take all the info provided or shown in the video being watched to be 100% accurate.
