Well, I asked in another video what wins, but it was suddenly taken down for some reason. My question is what wins, the torso or limbs? In this case their torsos are pretty even but Kambundji's head was slightly behind the "winner's" by a nose' length... but her arm and leg are ahead and crossed the line first. Actually all three of them are perfectly lined up. Then there is this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/amO3l6aVmMSqoZo Here there are two ladies, one comes from behind and at the line her head is ahead of the other lady she caught..so her torso crossed the line first...but the other lady has her arm stretched far ahead although her torso crossed last...but she was deemed the "winner". So what are the rules? Is it just me or am i seeing a trend here?

I am pretty sure it is the torso that counts.

What point are you trying to make? The torso counts - that includes the shoulder, but not the limbs. Track and Field has clear-cut rules, and they were followed correctly in both instances here. Just look at where the lines are drawn. I hope that helped!

@@hammonia9095 Just check the other video, i put a link there. I'm trying to understand what the rules are and why they are applied differently. I've seen the lines and all that...
@hammonia9095
@hammonia9095 Жыл бұрын
@@brewedcoffee727 I have seen the video, and I can guarantee that the rules aren't applied differently. Lückenkemper's torso, her breast and shoulder, are ahead of Kambundji's. The lines here signify 0.01 seconds, the difference is lower. Lückenkemper's torso crossed the line 0.005 seconds ahead. That's very close and rare, but it happens. In the 110m hurdles event, the difference was 0.001 seconds. In the other video, Kyra Constantine's torso is behind that of Jessie Knight, despite Constantine executing a dip. The lines are right where their shoulders are. Also, in case you are a fan of Kyra Constantine: She and the other Canadians still won gold since England got disqualified because of lane infringements. Again, the torso counts: Not the head, not the limbs
