That is quite a construction. I drove it last year to the opposite direction. It was my first time.

Wow, 65 Euros! We Americans complain, bitterly and vociferously, when our bridge tolls in the San Francisco Bay Area increased from $5 to $8 a few years ago. If a Government agency here suggested raising a bridge toll to $65, there would be an armed uprising.

Was it windy on the bridge, or did everybody just get drunk in Denmark? 🙂

Unfortunately, this solution (tunnel + bridge) is the cheapest to reach Sweden by Malmö (2nd or 3rd Sweden's biggest city) from Copenhagen by car. You can also take a ferry and put your car on the ferry, which will oftenly cost more than the bridge toll and you will reach Sweden from Trelleborg instead of Malmö

The rates for commuters with a subscription are much cheaper though, even € 5.50 per trip 17 - 50 per month. But for only one return trip, the rate is high, this is the highest single toll in Europe.

@@EuropeanRoadswhich is actually a bit strange when you think about it. It would make sense that they would rather have commuters in the train than on the road. The 65 euros might even be considered against European rules: it’s very steep and there’s no alternative, and with that it’s a kind of barrier against free movement.

What is the longest b r idge in Europe?
@troelspeterroland69988 ай бұрын
The longest actual bridge construction is the Vasco da Gama Bridge in Portugal (12 km). The longest total fixed link facility (bridge/dam/tunnel) is currently the Kerch Strait Bridge in Ukraine and Russia (18 km) although it will hopefully soon be the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark (16,5 km).

The Crimean Bridge is the longest overall, but the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark has the longest center span at 1,624 meters. The Çanakkale Bridge in Turkey has a center span of 2,023 meters, which is on the border of Europe and Asia.
