Always warm support from Daniil at the end of the match, and nice reconforting words in French to Atmane 😊

Thanks, Eurosport, for not revealing the winner in the headline accompanying the thumbnail, this is very refreshing and appreciated. Too many lesser channels ruin everyone's enjoyment when they're unable to resist being first to tell fans who won the match. We can't all be in Melbourne..
@Taratatante
@Taratatante 4 ай бұрын
They reveal the winner, implicitly. Davidovich Fokina - Lestienne : Job Done (Fokina is the favourite, he won) Shelton - Bautista Agut : Superstar (Shelton is the growing star, he won) Bergs - Tsitsipas : Roaring back (Bergs never roared lol, he lost) I'm just waiting for neutral thumbnails, but... it's too much I guess

Adding that 90% of the winners are on the thumbnails... well done

Somehow Medvedev is growing on me. Idk if it's his strong but endearing character, his humbleness, or his white racket. I'll be rooting for this guy also, along with my fav. Sinner and the GOAT Nole.
@Aisengor
@Aisengor 4 ай бұрын
Humbleness? I can't think of one player less humble than Medvedev. He is the second worst tennis player after Kyrgios regarding attitude. He insults everyone and everywhere, referees, ballkids, viewers, players etc. Wtf you talking about?
@kkt391

He really grew on me because he is not afraid to show his character. He also put a lot of thought in his answers during Press and interviews.

@@Aisengor imo being humble and having anger management problems are compatible. I do think you can also be humble despite your lack of courtesy, "insult everyone everywhere"-ish attitude. Salute!

@@Aisengor Nah you need to watch him a bit more, he's not like Kyrgios at all. He has a lot of respect for good tennis. His melt downs are all about himself and his own frustrations, whereas Kygrios bitches about everyone. He is a bit too angry but I think he'll calm down. Remember even Roger was an angry kid when he started.
@Aisengor
@Aisengor 4 ай бұрын
@@stevenstone307 the fact is he is not a kid anymore as he was 6-7 years ago, he is 27 near his thirties. His melt downs are about himself but when you insult other ppl you act like an immature kid. Remember when he called a referee stupid, or small cat, or a woman referee stupid etc? There is nothing funny in that and nothing to admire.

I watched Terence at the ITF Futures last year in crete when he won it. He’s still mentally weak but once he reads the inner game of tennis a few times and understands it, he’ll have a great career. Good luck to them both

Good te see Medvedev is trying to finish points off at the net. He might have realised that his groundies are super solid but not solid enough against just a few top names. Improving his net game with his already sturdy defence, he would be even more dangerous. The only major thing left to improve is his persistent position on returns, it's way too deep to make an impact against those few top names who can exploit that "weakness" when returning 5-6 meters behind the baseline.

It seems like medvedev is more active at the net which is a good sign for him. He need more variation in his game to win slams again.

It isn't related to his endurance or whatever, just the pressure to play a grand slame provoke stress and ultimately cramping. Alcaraz is a good proof of that at his scale.@@mmm6325

I remember when Terence Atmane lost a game in ITF futures last year i messaged him and we had an argument. I told him he is mentally weak and that his tennis is very bad at the moment and he replied with "im rich" . Glad to see he changed the attitude and started taking it more seriously. Dude has serious potential.

This guy is from my city, it's a small city and he is becoming like the growing star for us, so it must add to his behaviour I think. Not the first time that I hear he's very arrogant. Apart from that, I think that his potential is pretty impressive, he'll have to work on the mental strength

This is weird. I remember a few years ago at Wimbledon it got up to about 32 degrees and people were asked if they were concerned playing in these temps and all those asked said it was not an issue as they play in warmer places. I just read a story on the BBC website that Medvedev said 'It was brutal conditions' and his opponent had to retire in tears! It was 27 degrees!!! That's nothing for Australia. What is with this push to convince people that anything over 25 degrees is extreme or BRUTAL - an existential threat??
