@@mireafelder8194 I've been watching tennis since Federer's prime, and watch many matches from the 80s and 90s. Even Agassi was still playing when I first started watching. I can say for certain.. modern tennis is boring (Carlos a little less so due to his playing style, but still not the most entertaining). playing styles are homogenous due to there being barely any difference between surfaces anymore and social media has made personalities fake. you were probably born in the late 2000s so this new era is the only world you know. it would also explain your arrogance of using the term "real fans."

@@echochamber1234 Haha, you picked the wrong person here. I'm a 50 years old Swiss (!) tennis veteran who watched Federer play since he was a teenager, and plenty of Agassi, Sampras, Safin, Hewitt etc matches at that time. I don't care if they changed surfaces, all the players had to adapt to it since then. And I don't live in the past and as a real tennis fan, I'm simply enjoying the beautiful tennis Carlitos Alcaraz is showing to us today. You meanwhile go living in the past and keep complaining about it, lmfao.

Carlos had no first serve in that tiebreak and he was literally on offense the entire time, being battered down by Paul's crushing forehand, but somehow he managed to squeeze out a win relying solely on his athleticism and offensive creativity. Unbelievable. Paul was playing lights out tennis. He would crushed through that tiebreak if he was playing any other player. Shows you what a champion Carlos is - how is able to win these tense tight matches with his B or C level. Unbelievable talent.
