Djokovic at his level of ATP finals final would have won this match. Today he was not himself, the level of unforced errors was below the standard of a top 100, that's pretty clear if you watch the match.

@allatoll

Sinner is still somewhat older than Federer at that time, but also much more mature. Perhaps his two victories at the end of last year against Novak were the turning points of his career.
@highfly8354
@highfly8354 10 ай бұрын
Let’s say the young Federer beating Sampras was comparable to the early win with Djokovic at the Finals, summed up with the first win against Medvedev after a 0-6 previous tie. Those were the early milestones but not enough to win, exactly like the young Roger beated his Maestro only to be stopped at the next round. Today win is something so different, snatching Davis Cup and AO out of World N.1 by beating him 3 times out of last 4 is simply admitting Jannik is the new emperor enthroned. He will distroy any rival on Sunday.

@@highfly8354 I think he is likely to win. Destroying, not sure. Zverev was great against Alcaraz. I predicted Sinner to win today and with the fact that he only gets better, I think Djokovic will not be around for much more than 1 year. He is here to win titles but he is no longer the best player. He may have a last chance at Wimbledon, but Sinner and Alcaraz are really going to take over now
