I would suspect a faster retrieve would have better hook up rates as you said a reaction bait. Would be interesting if they put a spot for another hook under the body

may work for other species but not for crappie. Crappie is very fat and lazy and will not chase fast targets

I know it kinda defeats the whole purpose of a crank but if it is similar to the tiny rapala rippin raps, what I like to do is add small float. I haven't gotten it to work in deep water but in shallow water I twitch it back with pauses. Sometimes I'll twitch it all the way in or just reel and stop. I have gotten big crappies and bluegills this way. Doing this works great when they are feeding like morning or afternoon. When the bite is slow it is not worth using this over a plastic.

right. U can play with it, but any soft plastic will beat it, literally anything from cabelas

Hmmmmm....you could switch it to a treble hook and aggressively vertical jig it for white bass and yellow bass, like you would a blade bait? Just an idea.
@ifishcatfish Жыл бұрын
if u wana catch even less fish than this..

@@ifishcatfish you may be right. Idk it just screams vertical jigging to me.

@@ifishcatfish but I will of course concede to your judgment and experienced opinion until I can get my hands on one.

This 1/8 is the best lipless crank change the hook for treble !!
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
yeah, ima try a treble, because these singles were losing even the fish that did eat it..
@frankoliveira1893 жыл бұрын
Just go small or you going to loose the vibration feeling , don't use treble hooks with feathers it destroyed the action !! I will send you some pictures

Viktor what do you think of the Jigheads? I'm contemplating buying that kit with the 84 jigheads

I love euro tackle. I own this lure in different sizes and colors. I fish it when the area is thick with fish, eliminating user error. Fish just do not connect with this bait. Whether I use the single inline or the small treble it comes with. I think the core issue is the small size. The fish just grabs it from the front (which most fish do). If you jig it too fast, the fish will miss it. Fish it slow, it loses all action and the fish is not interested. There are three solutions I can think of : 1: attach heatshrink on the shaft of the treble hook to keep it from looping around itself. A new technique is to use a small piece of plastic work and thread it in between the split ring and the eye of the hook. This keeps the hook straight 2. Remove the back hook altogether and attach a super small assist hook, something in the #14 size. I think this solve the issue with hookups. 3. Attach a larger treble hook. Maybe a 12 size or 14. I really do not have any time to do any of these experiments, since I have no confidence in this lure and I much rather through a plastic or some other lure.

yup.. who has time to tinker with lures today when u have so many options that work out of the box. But that place if fish was just thick full of fish, and i was gettin 10 bites on every cast, and hook one fish every 4-5 cast, and then lose most of the fish i do hook. I will release another video fishing the same tower with another lure just to make a point. It's like shooting fish in a barrel there
@MAX999993 жыл бұрын
@@ifishcatfish I believe you the fish are stacked. Those times are perfect to see which lures work and which do not work. I have taken many lures out of a bag while testing. I know day/time and weather play a part, but if a lure connects to none or little fish, it’s time for it to be benched.
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
in my heart i know this lure deserves to be benched, but its so pretty, i will give it another chance

I’ve used those, both sizes, and have similar hook up issues with smaller fish. I think that tying a feathered trailer onto the hook would help. Otherwise, they definitely target the hard body and miss the single hook.

Thanks for the look at eurotackle! Perhaps the treble would get snag more often and I hate losing lures!
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
for sure. But it will probably catch more fish. I cannot imagine losing more fish than this..

Looks like glavinjara, or better choose silicon version but a bit bigger and hevier as yours SAVAGE GEAR TPE Soft Vibes 51. Did you ever tried bucktail. I am a zander angler and had last time fished alot with bucktail selfmade and i must say i am positive surprised of sucses, must say better then soft plastic lures, because of big angling presure. But at all of those lures the zander dont get enouf of time to inspect the lure and zander also loves to be in muddy watter. I would prefer buctailhair jig

I had a similar experience with these lures. Bought two of them a few years ago (1/16oz and 1/8oz). They are absolutely beautiful, but the results were subpar, especially landing the fish. I'm a big fan of Eurotackle, particularly the soft plastics in their micro finesse section and the Z-Spender jerkbait, but this lure series just didn't do it for me.

They look good but are probably to light for deep water perch fishing 🎣🤔
